Yes, I see that. He doesn’t have a filter, like the one most politicians have way too much of. I’d trust his view after he’s thought about it - and most importantly- listened to advice from experts. He’s shown the ability to not only choose good advisors but to listen to then. Like Sessions on immigration, Forbes and Laffer on taxes.

I applaud you sir or madam. One of the very very few Trump supporters that will admit he talks off the top of his head and then has to walk it back later once he’s conferenced with his handlers.

Trump is totally right, and he exposes, among others, Jeb’s disregard for our safety

KENNEBUNKPORT — A New England shingle-style house is being built for Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush on his family’s compound at Walker’s Point. The two-story, 3,000-square-foot house, which is expected to be finished this summer, is the ninth residential building on the site. Nine buildings!! Why the New World Order Bush clan should be able to take in at least 89-98 families!!

I think you're onto something here. If Jeb and the rest of the Bush clan are so fixated on admitting tens of thousands of refugees from Iraq and Syria, not to mention the kids (of all ages) pouring in from Central America, let them lead by example. Let them turn over the Bush family compound in Kennebunkport to a few dozen Syrian refugee families, and convert the Bush family ranch in Texas as a barrio for Central American refugee children. I'm sure it would be an inspiration that would change the hearts of even the most hardline open border skeptics and nay-sayers.

I’ve seen the houses when we visited Kennebunkport. Not impressive, but out on a spit of land by itself.

Is the reason why Jeb BUSH wants to take them because of US toppling the very governments that kept those terrorists in check and in jail (ie Libya)? If so, I partially agree with him.

I agreed with the Iraqi war but now realize it was a big mistake. Of course, I was not POTUS so I didn't know better. Obama's the biggest problem. At least we had Iraq under control before we left.

""Jeb is an idiot if he thinks Americans want more, unvetted, muslim immigrants.""

"Jeb Bush doesn't care what American's want - he made that clear when he defended his stance on our current illegal immigrants saying even if it cost him politically he's not going to change his views on immigration (of illegals)."

Check out article and graphics at #23.

Yes, this sums it up. I just read in the Des Moines Register that Iowa's Governor Branstad - a Republican! - thinks it is wonderful that Syrian "refugees" will/might be arriving in Iowa next year. Iowans have also been welcoming other Muslim groups and 3rd World types, perhaps hoping they'll liven things up.

What is wrong with Branstad? Surely he realizes the danger this poses to Iowans.

IF (and according to his supporters, it’s a big if) it appears that Trump has changed his position on anything (boots on the ground to defeat ISIS, for example, morphing into let Russia handle it) it’s because the world has changed since he made his first statement. It doesnt matter if the orginal statement was made mere weeks ago.

In my opinion, Trump initially considered bringing in Syrian 'refugees'. However, he never said anything about keeping them here. Trump as well expounded on what he has since learned: Most of the 'refugees' are young men and the 'refugees' are infiltrated with Islamic terrorists.

As such, he stated he would send them back.

I think most see that trait in him.... just don’t want to admit it. Taking a lesson from the Donald, I guess- never apologize!

You’re correct. An ordinary run of the mill politician wouldn’t dare try to answer a question without talking to his handlers first. Scott Walker is a good example. The mid east situation is very complicated. But I’m proud of Trump for at least trying to answer the question from his heart. Then not being afraid to change his answer after further edification on the matter.

But, then the US back out of it's commitment to provide air cover and the US trained Cubans died, were captured, or turned back on the beaches.

That was Kennedy, Castro was funded by Eisenhower administration and he was shocked when Castro announced he was a Communist.

Seriously. He was saying something very different not one month ago.

I'm sure if you look at the timeline, the first comments were made well before the numerous photos showed that the 'refugees' are anything but refugees.

I don't call it a flip-flop when the original premise is a sham.

Yes, but, that was when the US believed and Castro led the US to believe he was pro freedom for the people of Cuba. Castro then lined himself with the Soviet Union and the CIA spent the next thirty years trying to kill him.

If the US (and hindsight is always 20-20) had trained the millions of Cubans who have left the Island and returned them to fight and take back control of Cuba, they would be free today.

This mistake must not be made again when dealing with Syria and the Russian thugs!

<><><><

Like being the spelling or grammar cops, nothing good comes of assuming something about our fellow freepers based on their screen name.

But now that you mention it, yes, I might have been safe to read female into that screen name if I’d given it a moment’s thought (which I did not).
