Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday was blocked from trying to link the Iran nuclear deal and a one-year ban on federal funding for Planned Parenthood to a government funding bill.
The Texas Republican, who is running for president, was blocked from offering his amendment during a voice vote. He tried to get a roll call vote but couldn't get the necessary support from his colleagues.

No second? What happened to Mike Lee and Jeff Sessions? It failed on a voice vote, so there is no record of who voted which way. I would assume Lee and Sessions, and some others, supported Cruz.

What Cruz is doing to his “colleagues” [spit] is PRECISELY what the Republicans are supposed to be doing to Obama. None of this “Oh, our efforts are going to fail, so there’s no use trying” BS.
