Nick Utter marched because of escalating gun violence.
"It's kind of terrifying, the effect it can have on a neighborhood," said Utter, 21, of Cross Plains, Wis.
Utter, a Loras College student, was among about 75 people Sunday who marched to University of Dubuque for a rally against gun violence.
"It's not about people owning guns; it's how they're using them," Utter said.
Four area peace- and faith-based organizations -- Children of Abraham, Dubuque Coalition for Non-Violence, Dubuque Area Congregations United and Dubuque International Day of Peace -- held the event, which included marches from Loras College, Clarke University and Wartburg Seminar

Will go to a white neighborhood and rail against the NRA and tell them also that more gun laws are needed. He should go to a black neighborhood and give them that speech minus the NRA rant.

Curiously as a Caucasian old man I have found after decades of firearm ownership no inherent tendency to conduct mass shootings or prey on minorities. I must need counseling.
