Gohmert: Next Speaker Will Be ‘More Conservative’ Than Boehner

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” Saturday to react to Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner's (R-OH) announced resignation set for the end of October.
“First of all, I awoke this morning, I said my prayers and I said, Thank you, Lord,” Gohmert said of his reaction Saturday morning.
The congressman from Texas stated that under Boehner there has been a “dictatorship” and a more conservative Speaker will actually listen to the majority.
“I think that you will see a – no matter who the Speaker is, and I’m supporting Dan Webster of Florida, I know they’ll be more conservative because they will let the majority rule and that’s the way it’s supposed to work,” he said.

More conservative doesn’t get us anywhere if he/she is as dull witted, and uncommitted to standing for principle as Boehner was. We need someone who can get out in front of these issues, form a winning message, and present a confident demeanor. Stop with all this whining and admitting defeat before we even start to “fight.”

Much better than Boner, but I’m a little skittish that DeLay may be more GOPe than we think. Same with Gingrich.
