Duh! It would be hard for the next SOTH to be less conservative than Bonehead. Louie says he's supporting Daniel Webster....

Good. Louie isn’t running. So we can get a real conservative in there.

Gohmert would be a good choice.

So would Trey Gowdy.

Next Speaker Will Be ‘More Conservative’ Than Boehner

How hard could that be, really?

I wish it was going to be Louie. But likely it will be McCarthy. Not much better but sober anyway.

I say draft Tom DeLay out of retirement where he’s been exonerated and make HIM Speaker of the House!

The Speaker does NOT have to be a current sitting member!

More conservative doesn’t get us anywhere if he/she is as dull witted, and uncommitted to standing for principle as Boehner was. We need someone who can get out in front of these issues, form a winning message, and present a confident demeanor. Stop with all this whining and admitting defeat before we even start to “fight.”

Daniel Webster (January 18, 1782 – October 24, 1852) was a leading American senator and statesman during the era of the Second Party System. He was the outstanding spokesman for American nationalism with powerful oratory that made him a key Whig leader.

Guess he makes sense as the Republicans seem to be going the way of the Whigs.

Nope, not going to realistically happen.

The GOPe will not put anyone in there that wants to actually follow the true conservative agenda so they will cave to the Dims and get a GOPe guy in. There is no change on the horizon until the presidency changes and true conservatives get mre than 75ish seats...

Boehner needs to be reminded that there are serious penalties for sedition and treason, and he shouldn’t get too comfortable as being a lobbyist for other treasonous bastards.

As we see the candidates for the new Speaker start to show up I highly recommend taking a peak at The Heritage Action Congressional Scorecard

There are probably other scorecards like this one and they may be better but it will give us some idea of where the candidates stand in terms of their commitment to the conservative cause.
