Excuse me, the 71st Congress.
YES!
We only have 36 Tea Party Members. I am not counting on anybody good. In fact, i almost think we will miss Boehner soon.
The only “shoo” I want associated with McCarthy is the one that kicks his gutless ass out of the race, and hopefully out of Congress.
He has repeatedly stated he would not run for the office.
McCarthy's role, at that time, was to sqeeze Republican conservatives out of a voice in the, extraconstituional, three man, "governing council" (governor, senate majority leader and assembly minority whip) that defacto ran Califonia's political governance from 2007 to 2011 .
McCarthy, if he succeeds, with play exactly the same role in the house. BET ON IT!
When the head coach is fired, the assistants are rarely kept or moved to the top.
I will tell my ‘Critter this.
NO TREY!!!! I once thought so highly of him.. thought he would be a good President!!!
NOT any more.. he is like ISSA.. big talker, not a do-er!!!!
I don't care who I like, you like or any one of dozens of other posters on here like. I want to support the most conservative that stands a chance to succeed.
Now that you mention it I wonder what the spelling of “shoo” has to do with it? Is there a potential SOTH with “shoo” in their name?
The only one with a “shoo” in her name is Anna Eshoo, but she’s a DemocRAT from California. Bob Goodlatte from Virginia has the “oo” in his name and he’s pretty senior being in the House since 1993?
I won’t say “anybody but McCarthy,” but I bet he gets Nancy Pelosi’s vote.
Both RINOs and conservatives have been most deficient in the 3d asset."
That's because the Pubbies in Congress have got a permanent Minority Mentality - give them the reigns, and they haven't a clue what to do.
Only good solution would be to replace them all.
God, I hope you're wrong!
And those wise words should be attached to the forehead of every lesser evil voter and GOP in office with a nail gun.
“Shoo-in” is apparently the correct spelling. I always thought it was “shoe-in.” I thought it might be related to the spelling of the article’s nameless conservative representative who could beat McCarthy.
Conservatives do not have a majority in the GOP caucus so they can’t elect a Conservative as speaker. All they can do is prevent the candidate that is elected from becoming speaker. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of promises they can get from McCarthy or Scalise.
It would be great to see an American conservative get the post and not a hyphenated American.
IMHO
Tom Price, Georgia, would be a good choice.
STOP CHARLIE MCARTHY!! he is a dummy puppet for Karl ROVE and the Gope!!~
