Ted Cruz cracks jokes about President Obama at the Value Voters Summit on Friday morning.
First up, the teleprompter president: "So I gotta ask," he says as he steps onto the stage next to two teleprompters. "What are these things?"
"Is Barack Obama coming?"
Next on the target list, the president's ego: "Yesterday, Pope Francis was in Washington. Wonderful to welcome him here, but the press conference was a little bit awkward. Because every time the reporters addressed a question to 'his holiness,' Barack Obama answered."
Finally: "And today, the president of China, President Xi, is in town. Media all over the world are reporting on this historic meeting of the world's most powerful communist... And the President of China."

Ted Cruz is the only candidate who will return the GOP to its small gov't, constitutional origins.
Why is he calling the Pope - His Holiness. That’s pandering, IMO. I don’t see him as Holy - not with is viewpoints.

Why so prone to see Cruz as “pandering”? Is Trump your guy? Or Jeb?

Fighting back, mocking & ridiculing Barack & Dems will gain him points from the base.

It was a joke - a tongue-in-cheek reference to Obama’s ego. Ted Cruz is an evangelical Christian and he knows that Il Papa is just another man.
