FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) The fall gun show at the Florence Civic Center revealed a new demographic for sales Sunday afternoon.
Vendors who were there say women are buying more guns, hunting and participating in the shooting sport.
Stan Davis is the owner of S&R Gun Sales. He attends the gun show in Florence in the spring and fall. However, this year hes noticed a difference in people who are buying guns.
I have seen an increase in ladies, coming in and buying small arms for themselves, getting signed up for CWP classes, Davis Said.

Nice shot
Lordy Lordy...Why’d ja have to go and do that!!!!!!!!
Don’t get too excited. This trend has been going for at least 5 years.
I am also seeing an increase in retirement aged males who are retired/former military who have decided to take their service arms out of “mothballs” to re-learn how to use them. My past Saturday pistol class was 75% from this group.
All you have to do is look at any gun store display case to know women are now a large segment of the market. It sure isn’t men buying all those pink .380s.
Nice looking blue jeans
Not in New England

I thought about going but the last few times the venders were a little too proud of their stuff.
Not pink but a lot of men do own a .380.
That misses the point. The point was there are a bunch of pink .380s in the gun cases because there are a lot of women buying guns. Same with pink nines. You see a few of these but not as many as the pink .380s.
