Donald Trump is hitting back twice as hard as Democrats led by the White House attack him for not rebuking a town-hall questioner who declared that President Barack Obama is a Muslim. The bigger issue is that Obama is waging a war against Christians in this country, Trump tells The New York Times.

Excellent!
Remember when Trump brought Sessions on stage in AL and gave him full credit for the immigration plan? I was wondering if that was a sly “shout out” to FR.
A crucial point, perhaps ill explored, is whether he can see past his own pecuniary fortune. That is a point on which a number of gospel illustrations turn.
There seem to be hints that the answer is yes.
Just for starters, becoming president would mean he would have to hand over all control of the Trump empire to a trust. That does not sound like a prospect that someone married to his money would cheer.
That's exactly what it looks like.
Maybe only God and Sessions and Trump know for sure.
But I hope that if Trump is listening that I am at least providing a voice of balanced encouragement and caution among many. And I really hope that everyone is attempting movement towards that.
There are a few people around FR that are delighting in living out various clownish caricatures. They are painful to watch, because they lower the level of discussion. It makes it look like it’s all about them and what they judge, rather than about the external references to which they may point.

It's nearer to home...Trump is inside the OODA Loop of the GOPe, MSM and the dims.
And without the help of the feckless RNC.
The Disruptor!!!
Trump has moved on to mechanized warfare.
What's the source of that requirement? And so what if his assets are managed by "a trust" (or somebody other than himself), as long as he knows he's the ultimate beneficiary, he can steer favors to "the trust," just as easily as he could if control wasn't under his direct hand.
The mechanism used to isolate the official from gain is sale of the asset, as far as they know.
The trust is considered "blind" because eventually, through the sale of transferred assets and the purchase of new ones, the public officer will be shielded from knowledge of the identity of the specific assets in the trust. Without such knowledge, conflict of interest issues would be avoided because no particular asset in the trust could act as an influence upon the official duties that the officer performs for the Government. ...The Use of Blind Trusts by Federal Officials - CRS Report for Congress (RS21656)Blind trusts may be used by such Government officials even when the disqualification requirements of federal law do not apply to them, such as for Members of Congress, the President, and the Vice President. ... [of course they "may," no law against blind trust for anybody]
... federal officials in the executive branch of Government, other than the President or Vice President, must generally "recuse" or disqualify themselves from participating in any particular governmental matter in which they have a financial interest, or in which their spouse, dependant children, partner, or business with which they are associated, has a financial interest.
If he’s ‘listening’ to FR, he’s not listening as much as I’d like him too.
As good as his paper on the 2nd Amendment is, I think most Freepers would have been even more conservative on the issue.
You seem to be scoffing about something that has been common custom... even Barack Obama. I don’t get the applicability here, if Trump does the same thing.
Of course when it comes to pecuniary view, one could say Trump would gain even from a “rising tide lifts all boats” philosophy. And that might not be the worst incentive in the world to manage the economy wisely. He knows what the system looks like to the great economic business engines of America.
Some people will complain that their green lawn is not deluxe Kentucky Bluegrass.
Politics remains the art of the possible. It is possible to purist or wonkify oneself into an ineffectual corner.
BRAVO!!!! {clapping}
I truly believe God has heard our prayers. He knows that there are a lot of “Righteous” people in the United States praying for God to remove Obama and the lawlessness that has been occurring in this nation due to him.
Remember, God would spare cities if “RIGHTEOUS” not Good people are found. There is a difference between Righteous and Good. Like today there are good Christians but they have compromised themselves into the world. The Righteous never compromised they have remain strong in God’s word even if the world hates them.
As for Donald, once he announced he was running I just felt this was it. Donald was the one, for he is strong and fearless. Liberals have damage this nation that there is no turning back but to collapse. During this difficult period in our nation, we need a strong leader. I feel Donald is the one to lead this nation.
I wasn’t complaining about the Trump 2nd Amendment paper, it’s great, especially the acknowledgment that the amendment was written to contain government, and not to ‘grant’ us the right to bear arms.
What I was commenting on was that if Trump had somehow been listening to FR, his paper would have been even more conservative.
I think it was written without any input from these pages.
Being passed through another politician it could also have been filtered so that what was seen as being able to “fly” was kept and the rest omitted.
Ah good! A conservative position!
