As the week ended, Obama's palace guard in the American media were demanding that every other Republican candidate distance himself from Donald Trump's failure to correct, among thousands of attendees at his events, one who apparently is under the illusion that the President is a Muslim.
Any candidate who plays this game with the Obamamedia is a fool. Assuming for the sake of argument that the questioner is genuine and not a plant (like, say, the 14-year old all-American schoolboy clockmaker who didn't make a clock at all and is the son of a belligerent Muslim activist and perennial Sudanese presidential candidate whose brother runs a trucking company amusingly called Twin Towers Transportation), putting all of that to one side, there are several entirely reasonable responses one could make to the gentlemen of the press:

Great article!
The sap-happy news media describes the Mideast hordes storming Europe as “impoverished” refugees from the civil war in Syria...... but the refugees are intent to get to countries w/ the best welfare benefits........planning a comfortable life in a rich society w/ cradle- to-grave welfare.
Theyre the barbarian hordes lusting after other peoples wealth. The calculated Muslim refugees overwhelming Europe whined that they were poor b/c European countries were rich. And now the avaricious refugees want to takeover these countries.
The refugees get-rich-quick schemes include looting the European countries hard-won affluence. They started right here.
HERES A TYPICAL REFUGEE MINDSET: One notorious American example:
Muslim Killer on Disability and Food Stamps had Diamonds and 200 Credit Cards Hidden on Texas property
Front Page Magazine | 6/20/2014 | Daniel Greenfield / FR Posted by Dqban22
This sort of thing is surprisingly common. The only reason it came to light is because the Muslim settler committed two murders in Texas, one of which he actually got away with.
The murder of Christian believer, Gelareh Bagherzadeh, was reported earlier. Gelareh Bagherzadeh was an Iranian Christian who came to this country only to be murdered by a Muslim because she encouraged his daughter to marry the man she loved.
The Texas Muslim claimed he was too disabled to work. But he wasnt too disabled to kill.
BACKSTORY The Texan, a strict Muslim, was furious when his Jordanian-American daughter married a man without his permission. The Muslim, Ali Mahwood-Awad Irsan, blamed his daughters husband, relatives say. They say he also faulted one of her closest friends, 30-year-old Gelareh Bagherzadeh, a Christian convert who widely denounced Islam.
<><> First Christian-believer Bagherzadeh was killed, gunned down outside her parents Texas Galleria townhouse complex in January 2012.
<><> Eleven months later, Irsans son-in-law died after being shot multiple times in northwest Texas, in the Harris County apartment he shared with his wife.
The Texas Muslim thought he could get away with murdering because he had already gotten away with so many other things in Texas.
Federal authorities executed a search warrant at Irsans sprawling, 5-acre property 40 miles north of Houston, where they allegedly found cash, diamonds, pearls, weapons and phony passports hidden in attic rafters, in secret compartments throughout a cluster of trailers and outbuildings and even inside the buried drum of a clothes dryer at the Conroe, Texas property.
The Muslim Irsan, his wife Shmou Ali Alrawabdeh, and another daughter were subsequently arrested on a variety of federal fraud charges and are in federal custody.
A federal criminal complaint detailing the discoveries recounts a saga of nearly 20 years in which the 57-year-old naturalized citizen from Jordan, and his family, allegedly scammed taxpayer disability assistance funds claiming fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue symptoms, and affective disorders while secreting real estate, vehicles and cash in US and foreign bank accounts.
The criminal complaint also alleges the Muslim Irsan:
<><> was receiving taxpayer funds for a son not living in the US,
<><> maintained several addresses on the property to facilitate various schemes, and,
<><> once disabled a safety feature on a saw then purposefully cut himself to receive a $75,000 settlement.
The Muslim was certainly industrious and entrepreneurial, just not quite in the way amnesty advocates like to claim.
TERROR CELL? Also found on the Muslim property was a makeshift gun range, which witnesses said five or six Muslim families frequently visited to fire AK-47s; also found was information about Irsans attempts to get a silencer. Nothing to do with Islamic terror, of course.
The rest of the scam ......
While there have been no allegations of terrorist ties regarding the Muslim familys alleged (a) foreign bank accounts, and, (b) suspicious wire transactions, Irsans strict adherence to radical Islam may have been a motive in the alleged murders.
Authorities are also re-examining a 1999 case in which Irsan was not indicted after claiming self-defense in the shooting of son-in-law Amjad Alidam, who was married to Nasemah Rachelle Irsan.
And thats not all. Prosecutors also revealed, in connection to the social security fraud and credit card charges against Irsan, that they found more than 200 credit cards with various names and multiple variations of his own name throughout the Irwin Keel home.
Arresting officers say they also found more than 40 similar credit cards in his wallet the morning he was arrested. His daughter also alleges, among multiple other schemes detailed in court documents, that Ali Irsan purposely disabled the safety device on a Ryobi rotary saw and purposely cut his own foot. Prosecutors say he used that injury to receive a $75,000 settlement from the manufacturer.

I would so love it if Trump would read Steyn’s piece from the podium.
Why is it that the press has no problem believing that a homosexual communist is a Christian but its impossible to believe that a homosexual communist is a muslim?
Because, in fact, there isn’t a chance on God’s green earth that Obama is a Christian. Its pretty obvious, though, that his regime is riddled with muslims and communists and homosexuals. So, figure it out.
Great piece.. I really admire Steyn.. according to a poll released just last week, 30 percent of the country believes Obama is a Muslim. Trump would have to go around correcting 90 million Americans I guess.
This is a very interesting Steyn column - he seems to be displaying more anger than usual (though still of course as witty as ever). I’m right there with him.
Wow! No wonder most of Hillary's audience is media sycophants.
Bump for later
one who apparently is under the illusion that the President is a Muslim
How many times have muslims invaded Europe? Is this the 4th or 5th time?
I saw that too.
I read it as sarcasm.
Hillary staffer at campaign event: We better call this a press conference because all of the attendees are press.
Had he used the word believes, I would have not had a problem with it. But to imply the guy is mistaken does not go over well with me. I'm very disappointed that Mark chose that wording choice.
I agree with your observations. My first impression as I was reading the article was, ‘wow, is he ever pi**ed about this”. Trump should use this piece as a fact sheet in the next debate or anytime he is interviewed by the lamestream media.
I like number 7.
L
And anybody who doesn't realize that they will eventually be successful is very naive.............in reality, Trump ain't electable; gotta keep in mind that the vast majority of voters is a helluval lot more interested in Dancing With The Stars.
Actually, Trump's going to be a relatively easy takedown the way I see it.
Excellent!
Mark Steyn. And Mark Levin. Tellin’ it like it is with rapier wit and steel-trap intelligence.
Best way to defeat the Three-Headed Snake(The Left, the Media, and the GOPe)is through ridicule, and the two Marks do it better than anyone else.
Glad they’re on our side.
