“Is Trump Turning the GOP Into the “Know Nothing” Party?”

No.

Next question.

The GOPe was ALREADY the "know nothing" party, they know nothing about what We The People expect of them, they know nothing except pursuing their own personal political power, and they know nothing except collaborating with our enemies, i.e., the 'RAT Party, so Helen Raleigh needs to give her head a shake before she writes ridiculous drivel like this.

When Trump turns against Catholics then maybe I’ll consider it.

Wow. It’s been a while since someone has referenced the Know Nothing Party?

And No.

When Trump refers to “stupid people running this country” he is talking exactly about the RATs and RINOs who’ve been running it into the ground for decades.

He’s also talking about the Marxist “media”....including author of this article.

Ever since Reagan the GOP has been the no nothing party.

The last two elections, and they are hard at work on this one), they have become the “NO WIN PARTY”. Get ready for loss #3. What a track record. Yee ha!

So yes, they know nothing, especially about how to win with lousy RINO candidates.

..... The controversial topics Trump has been bringing up for the last few months are being heard for the very first time by most Americans .... and they do indeed sound very conspiratorial or racist to the unwashed masses when heard by those virgin ears. The strength in what is being said .... is when it is being proven to be true ... or at the very least have a foundation in truth.

.... Remember ...... much of the subject matter has been with held from, spun and censored from the publics ears by the MSM. Then the MSM is reacting by pretending like even they are hearing it for the first time .... when we know full well ..... they knew .... but proceeded to cover everything up anyways.

I would rather have a 1000 know nothing like him instead of one dictator that knew he wanted to destroy a country.

“By the mid-1850s, the U.S. received a large influx of immigrants, including two million German immigrants and over one million Irish immigrants.”

Did they sneak into the country?

If only “Know Somethings” are against him, I think the Know Somethings may know more of the wrong stuff. Use Obama for example, great education and not a Know Nothing, but what he knows is Crap.

It is a matter of “Know Nothing” Party?”

Americans are feeling it, and smart enough to know when the politicians elected to office are doing nothing to protect the citizens and immigrants who obey the law. Talk is cheap results matter. The current crop in D.C. would be fired from privates sector employment for their lack of results.

The real “Know Nothing” uniparty are the moronic acolytes who think Trump supporters are stupid. They are not.

The "Know Nothing"'s arose out of the disintegration of the Whigs. If the GOP is disintegrating, it's not Trump's fault.

I believe that all stripes of Republicans (and others) love Trump because he is OUR Übermensch/Überliberal. He is more effectively self-righteous, confident, arrogant, indignant, insulting and condescending than any one of them could ever hope to be and they know they can't hold a candle to him.

I take a great deal of foolish pleasure watching him do his thing but I could never vote for him and I can't imagine what will happen if he's elected but I'm pretty darn sure he'll do whatsoever he pleases.

“This means the majority of our immigrants came here legally, followed the rules”

Ignorance, bad logic, both?

A high percentage of legal immigrants were previously illegal. Some entered illegally. Some came as students, tourists, h1b, etc and over-stayed their visa. Some worked with visas that did not allow them to work.

They found a spouse, an anchor-baby or another government program so they could apply for legal status.

Ignorance of immigration reality on all sides in the debate is a major problem.

Some talk of those who are patiently waiting in line. What ignorance. They are already here illegally.

When I asked the IT worker beside me what his immigration status is, he answers that it is “In progress”.

I take that to mean he currently has nada. But is hoping to find a wife, anchor baby or other vehicle to obtain amnesty.

Those opposed to amnesty are also ignorant as we currently have massive amnesty and they aren’t even aware of it.

Those Germans and Irish immigrants believed in our God and they were willing to work, unlike the welfare immigrants of today from the Middle East.

The biggest difference is that 19th and early 20th century immigrants weren’t overruning our southern border, working under the table to promote the new slave trade, and demanding that Americans speak spanish and give them free shit at the taxpayers expense.

Damn, when the US planted the flag in mexico city during the mexican-american war, we should have kept all of that territory.

If you have a problem with that, I here that la raza will let gringos join once in a while.

“Immigrants are 13% of the U.S. population, but they own 20% of the small businesses.” Maybe we should look into that. Visa options and immigrant business initiatives.
