The mother of Fritz Moncion, the Linden, NJ high school football player who took the helmet of an opponent and hit him with it, spoke out on her sons behalf and said the vicious hit, which caused ten stitches, was without intention and he is very, very sorry and is calling his punishment of being suspended from school, kicked off the team and potential criminal charges too severe.
Hes a great kid. He really didnt intentionally do this. Hes very hurt. Hes crying To keep him off the team, I dont think that is the answer, MyCentralJersey.com reports Moncions said.
She added, Hes going to apologize to the parents, to the school, to Linden, to the coaches formally.

You can try. Let me know when and where.
Sorry, but that level of bad sportsmanship deserves something more than a few lectures and missed games. We aren’t talking about someone who simply shouted some expletives on the field.
I can deal with a 15 yard penalty and 1 game suspension.
Not a crime, jackwagon.
“May I smash you across the face with a football helmet?”
Um, only if Gene gets to give you a lecture afterwards...
“If the exact opposite situation had happened and it was her son who got intentionally hit with his own helmet, Mom would be crying for her $millions in an injury lawsuit against the school and the parents of the perpetrator.
Especially since the kid who got hit was Caucasian
This was a hate crime pure and simple
I blame the BLM, Nation of Islam, Barrak Obama and Jesse Jackson
My answer would be the same if it happened to my kid. Much of my consideration comes from the fact the kid wasn’t seriously injured and that it happened on a sports field. Traditionally, sports has always been self-monitored and society has generally been inclined to let teams handle it.
If the kid had been knocked out or became incoherent or had to be carried out on a stretcher my answer would be different.
Are you sure you want to commit yourself to premeditated assault?
Your hyperbole is beyond ridicule.
It was assault. What would you do if it happened to your teen? Would you chastise him for “being a pussy” like your fellow thug-boosters?
You seem to dig thuggish behavior. If it happened to your son on the football field would you chastise him for “being a pussy?”
The thug pulled off the kid’s helmet and smashed him in the face causing an injury needing ten stitches. You’re the supporter of premeditated assault. Don’t start nothin’ and there won’t be nothin’. Is that too hard for you to comprehend?
No. It I far from hyperbole. There are those here who are saying the kid should be sent up the river for years on end for what he had done. That’s not far from saying he should have gotten the death penalty.
Yes it was assault. Do we now not allow teams to decide how they handle their affairs or not?
I am suitably chastised. Now that we assaulted the quarterback may we seek out and dismember his family?
Not interested in misquotes and hyperbole. Take your drama somewhere else. And don’t ever threaten me again.
I never said “send the kid up the river for years and years.”
Stand back and let me smash your kids’ face open with an injury requiring stitches. Then we can laugh and laugh together over our youthful hijinks.
Ooooh... Do you need stitches? How about a “hello-kitty” bandaide for your lil’ boo boo. Stop being a pussy and man up. It’s not like you got sucker punched by a punk with a helmet during a game. Isn’t your mama there to take care of you big man?
Oh... do you feel threatened again. Did you mother give birth to any male children?
Ten stitches is hardly a smash. It was a stupid act, but no serious injuries. It’s something that should be agreed upon by both teams.
Are you sure you’re not an Old Testament Christian requiring an eye for an eye?
Really? When my son played competitive league soccer he got ejected from the game and sat a two-game suspension for mouthing off to a referee. Even at that, it took a couple of go-arounds before he finally got the point, that there was no percentage in mouthing off to a referee.
A one-game suspension in this case is the same as telling the kid that his behavior is acceptable. You'll do him no favors that way, and you'll be setting him up for something worse in the future. Not to mention the effect it will have on the mindsets of all the other players and their coaches. These athletes tend to be very brash and overly self-confident, and most have repeatedly had rules bent and broken in order to keep them on the playing field. It's a dangerous precedent.
Are you sure youre not an Old Testament Christian requiring an eye for an eye?
I suggest handing them over to Lazamataz. Do you have a problem with that. If so I’d hand you over to Lazamataz!
I don’t want to be hit by Lazamataz.
Go back and look at the previous exchange. I said the kid committed felonious assault. When someone pulls off an opponents helmet and strikes them with it and causes and injury requiring ten stitches they require a harsh response.
I suggested someone who supported the thug deserved similar treatment and they challenged me. I said I’d gladly accept the same punishment they recommended for the original miscreant.
Now you know the rest of the story.
