The mother of Fritz Moncion, the Linden, NJ high school football player who took the helmet of an opponent and hit him with it, spoke out on her sons behalf and said the vicious hit, which caused ten stitches, was without intention and he is very, very sorry and is calling his punishment of being suspended from school, kicked off the team and potential criminal charges too severe.
Hes a great kid. He really didnt intentionally do this. Hes very hurt. Hes crying To keep him off the team, I dont think that is the answer, MyCentralJersey.com reports Moncions said.
She added, Hes going to apologize to the parents, to the school, to Linden, to the coaches formally.

Can anyone explain how it is possible to unintentionally take an opponents helmet, then hit him with it hard enough to cause an injury requiring ten stitches?
What does unintentional mean in such circumstances anyway?
there’s VIDEO of it, stupid lady
suspend the kid from the team, school, and charge him with assault
I wouldn’t say unintentional, but maybe unpremeditated.
He dint intend to get caught and suffer consequences.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mothers always say that when little Dickie is a bad boy, and the cops are hauling him away.
Mistake number one was ripping it off the head of a player in the first place.
Second, if he can’t swing a helmet any better than that, he won’t be missed for some time anyway.
I’m sure Urban Meyer would love to have him.
Now, if he ADMITS it, tells the truth, says it was a moment of stupidity and apologizes publicly like the mom said, and all that, I will consider some lenience
But no one seen him crying- only his mom said so
“Im sure Urban Meyer would love to have him.”
Here we go. Out of nowhere comes a hater. Go Bucks. One of the classier teams out there.
The video is fast, but it looked like the player Dindu Nuffin grabbed the other player’s helment by the facemask and pulled it off. Then, used it to hit the other player.
Accident?
Uh no.
“Can anyone explain how it is possible to unintentionally take an opponents helmet, then hit him with it hard enough to cause an injury requiring ten stitches?”
as unintentional as Don Corleone taking out the heads of the five families..
He’s good, as long as he didn’t hurt any dogs.
It also looked to me like he was holding the downed kid by the arm when he smacked him with the helmet, so he couldn’t have rolled away or ducked, it happened so fast. Classy.
It sounds like mom’s little angel is throwing a hissy fit around the house, and she can’t take it anymore. Hopefully, his dad plants a boot in his ass.
It is apparent where the kid went wrong.
“If there is something wrong with the bitch, there’ll be something wrong with the pup”
Real repentance does not try to avoid punishment. I don’t know if kicking him off for the season is the answer, but it definitely needs some sanction. Definitely a few games penalized and a series of lectures on good sportsmanship at least.
He did not mean for the injury to require 10 stitches, he was looking for 8?
If the exact opposite situation had happened and it was her son who got intentionally hit with his own helmet, Mom would be crying for her $millions in an injury lawsuit against the school and the parents of the perpetrator.
