BREAKING: AP sources: Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry to drop out of 2016 Republican presidential race.
Who is Rick Perry?
Oh. No. Please. Rick. Don’t. Leave.
Who will force dangerous vaccines on Americas kids or educate illegals without your sage wisdom.
The horror.
Smart move.
“Giving dang good speech!!!! Thanks Perry and good luck in the future.”
Huh?? I thought it was dripping in GOPe mush and sentimentality. To me, it was essentially a Jeb endorsement, without coming out and saying it.
What, you’ve never heard “Don’t Stop Believin’”? “Any Way You Want It”?
Most of these dropouts will probably wind up endorsing Jeb, though I could see Jindal and Santorum (with their whopping fraction of one percent in the polls) backing Cruz.
Noooo ! Say it ain’t so, La Raza Rick !
As a fellow Texan, I am sure you remember the hard feeling between the Bushes and Perry after bush left the state house. My guess?, I'd figure he will support Scott Walker , who he knew from Governor conferences. If not him, maybe Rand Paul.
“Whats weird is that a few days ago Trump said Perry was dropping out. Then Perry came out with that strange thing he said - a broken clock is right once a day - or some such nonsense. “
Yeah, I was just dumbfounded that Perry would say, “once a day”. I just feel so bad for him when I listen to him struggle. He’s just not cut out to be a public speaker.
Third Party?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having Governor of Texas on your resume. Its a great training ground for someone seeking the White House. And I would take a governor from Texas over most governors in this country if that was the only choice. It would sure beat the likes of Christie or Romney.
The problem is Perry. He has never been especially popular in our state, he was dreadful the first time he ran for POTUS, and he is not a Conservative. His ridiculous attack on Trump, made worse by his exit speech, shows that he has a fundamental misunderstanding of both Christianity AND the illegal immigration issue. That is frightening coming from a governor of a state that shares the longest border with Mexico. As a lifelong Texan, I will not miss him.
Most probably don’t want his endorsement. Maybe he will endorse Whore-hay Ramos.
It is interesting he lasted this long with zero brains.
1 down, 400 to go...

The shame is you don’t know how close to accurate you are. Take a quit look at this list
of FEC FORM 2 Filers.

Even if you haven’t fought some of his policies in Texas, you should have realized what he was years ago when he began courting Hispanic voters by speaking at La Raza conferences.
A genuine conservative isn’t going to consider speaking to ANY racial supremacist organization.
Not the Ku Klux Klan. Not Aryan Nation. Not Stormfront. Not The Black Panthers. Not La Raza.
Something was clearly wrong with Rick Perry and with Marco Rubio when they thought that was okay. And one hundred percent of their followers had to embrace the notion that maybe promoting racial dominance maintained by violence if necessary was okay...at least if it wasn’t by Caucasians.
Amen
I think for the most part, Rick is a good guy. It’s too bad that what happened in 2012 did - however, maybe - just maybe - this isn’t God’s will for him. Ok, it probably isn’t. I actually preferred him over Romney.
That is, he will if hes smart.

That may be the key to your assumption. He didn’t endorse
Cruz in his race for Texas Senator.
A salute to Perry, a good man, but it was not meant for him to be president.
As to the rest...some people just don't know when it's time to exit a race...
