Jeb Bush's plan to regain front-runner status: Patience

U.S. Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush outlined a simple plan on Thursday for regaining his front-runner status: Patience, followed by more patience.

With some of his supporters concerned about the rise of Donald Trump, Bush made clear he is not panicking, although he acknowledged he is no longer the front-runner in the early voting state of New Hampshire.

Asked at a town hall event in Salem how he can regain the lead position among the 17 Republicans seeking the party's presidential nomination in 2016, Bush said: "Patience, more patience...You campaign hard in the early states. You organize."

Bush began television advertising this week in New Hampshire that he hopes will lead to a rebound. His goal is to help voters identify him not only as member of the famous Bush family, but also as a former Florida governor with a conservative record.

He is the son of former President George H.W. Bush and brother of former President George W. Bush.

"Around the country they know me as George's boy and George's brother, right? I'm proud of my family, but I'm not going to get elected by being the third Bush," he said.

"I've got to go earn it. And there's lots of time to earn it."

Right. You're not going to get elected, period.

America needs Jeb Bush like it needs a few hundred thousand more Muslim MEN!

We can thank his father and his brother and the current counterfeit in the White Hut for the horrendous mess in the middle east.

Get a job, Jeb.

Trump-Cruz 2016!

Yeb is being defined in the public eye right now. For him, it may already be too late.

Bush's only hope is he can hang in there until the GOPe/media take out all of the other possibilities. But the way the public is reacting to the Trump pile-on, it doesn't look like that'll happen, either.

The Media need to be careful that they don't become real victims themselves.

The guy has nothing to offer. He has no skills as a leader of substance on any level. He is only running based on his term as Governor of Florida. Had he not been the son of the first President Bush and just a guy named Elmer Fudd he never would have ended up becoming governor and certainly not running for president in first or last place, which is where he is now. Anyone who thinks he has any chance of gaining ground from last place to still last place is misguided. He is the strongest pro-immigration of the lot,
among other unpopular positions with the electorate.

No one wants a third Bush term.

There’s no great enthusiasm among Republicans or Democrats for another family dynasty President.

Jeb’s real problem is that he is Bush and is identified with the status quo.

Overcoming it is a tall order, but its taller when your father and brother were mediocre Presidents.

Bush's only hope is he can hang in there until the GOPe/media take out all of the other possibilities.

The cabal that controls DC and the MSM is in a bind. jebtard! continues to fail, so they keep touting rubio and kasich - just in case, and in doing so split the RINO vote. Essentially suffering a mirror of the problem Conservatives had in 2012 when the Conservative vote was split enabling RINOmney to slide by.

For 2016 the Conservatives were split between Cruz, Walker, Carson, 1% Jindal, and even Randtard. The RINOs split between yeb, Perry, rubio, graham, carly, krispy, pataki...

And then there's Trump, the ten ton RINO-that's-not-a-RINO RINO smasher in the middle of the room.

The Donald is surely not pulling votes from yeb and his unmerry band of CoC establishmentarians. yeb is failing on his own. In some polls the top three spots are all anti-establishment (Trump, Carson and Cruz) . The outsiders represent a total of some 60% of the polls combined.

Even if they eventually tell yeb to quit - which they won't, there's no mathematical way for a rubio or kasich to then fold in all of yeb's former voters in order to garner a majority of primary votes.

The only path to coronation for the RINOs is for the party to radically change the rules, state by state, such that the delegates will be personally appointed by the top RINO in each state and the laws changed in such a way as to read that those same hand picked delegates are not beholden to the outcomes of the primary votes. That is, the GOPe will fix the "election".

Trump’s poll numbers have been steadily rising, and he’s pretty much in the low 30’s now. Will a couple more debates and the release of his economic package push that to the low 40’s before Thanksgiving? Because if it does, he could probably withstand something of a downward swing through the holidays and into January—and still march to victory.
