Carson questions authenticity of Trump's faith (Big Mistake)

Ben Carson took a personal shot at Donald Trump on Wednesday, questioning the authenticity of the businessman's faith, a move that suggests new combativeness between the top GOP contenders.

"I've realized where my success has come from, and I don't in any way deny my faith in God," Carson told reporters at a campaign rally in Anaheim, California, when asked about the biggest difference between him and the Republican presidential front-runner. "And I think that is the big difference."

"By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life and that's a very big part of who I am," said Carson, paraphrasing a Bible passage. "I don't get that impression with (Trump.) Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't get that."

Carson, who is a Seventh Day Adventist, has made faith a cornerstone of his campaign message. Powered by the backing of evangelicals, Carson is polling highly in Iowa, a state where about half of caucus-goers this winter are expected to be born-again Christians.

Trump's, a tough-talking New Yorker who made his fortune in real estate, is not known for harboring deep religious beliefs. He's said earlier this summer that he's never sought forgiveness from God, and then referred to communion as "my little wine and my little cracker."

But the Republican is increasingly sharing elements of his faith. Trump, identifying as a Presbyterian, has started to regularly say on the campaign trail that the Bible is his favorite book -- though he declined to share his favorite verse when asked by a reporter last month.

I think this is pretty tame and I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump ignores it. Just my two cents.

Kelly is running with this on Fox. She’s licking her lips and liking it with glee. Also she has Fiorina coming up supposedly to bash Trump.

It sounds like she might need a transfusion before the show is over.

Trump may ignore it, but he knows about it. I’d ignore it too.

His Tweet.

Trump - “Wow, I am ahead of the field with Evangelicals (am so proud of this) and virtually every other group, and Ben Carson just took a swipe at me”

Kelly reported Trump’s tweet a few minutes ago. She obviously wants to stir it up.

Ben Carson is the 2016 version of Herman Cain.

Except with no real ideas, just a nice man with some extra pigment. Otherwise he would be polling less than Perry.

What Megyn is trying to incite with this story is worse than what Carson is trying to incite with his comment.

I’d ignore it too.

It is aimed at Trump, but intended to pick off some Huckster voters.

Cain had a 999 plan. Carson has a 777 plan.

*rim shot*

It was worse seeing the video. Carson actually comes across as smug. I get the feeling the accolades and his position in the polls may be going to his head.

Carson is Seventh Day Adventist. It’s considered a cult by the mainstream Chrisitan organizations because it’s changed the nature of salvation to a salvation by works.

Carson would be a terrible role model in ths regard.

Trump’s relationship with God could be questioned on his “Never asked God for forgiveness except through communition” comments. But Trump does claim to pray. Trump claims to love God and the Bible. And he grew up in a Christian church. So while Trump may not be a Cruz or Huckabee on faith, I’d take Trump over Carson in a heartbeat.

And when it comes to experience, there is no comparison at all. Trump trumps.

Cain is a good guy, but he didn’t fight. That’s why he lost. Notice the bimbos who were supposed to be marching out, never did.

She certainly IS running with it! I who boycott’s her show saw it myself, racing through channels that might be covering it and landed on the wicked witch listening with bated breath to Brit Humes lambasting Trump.

Yes, I changed the channel fast. CNN is giving it to him also, by way of some Hispanic gal from Florida, who is a Jeb girl and a friend to Marco,

The old ‘I’m holier than thou’ tactic? That never works Carson.
In fact it makes your faith sound kinda phony.

Exactly Carson doesn’t realize his poll numbers are faked by the media polls in an attempt to try to take down Trump

The 7th Day Adventists also don’t believe in a literal hell as defined in the Bible. They also hold some weird teachings from some woman - I think her last name was White.

Now Megyn has Fiorina on and is bashing Trump for his “look at her face” comment. Megyn’s really out to get Trump TONIGHT! She’s using her pulpit TO ATTACK TRUMP.
