Is God's Judgement Against Us Inevitable?

America, and the West, seem to be sinking into the abyss, and it’s time to ask: Is God’s judgement now inevitable?

In contemplating the answer, we should consider some of the obvious reasons why judgment could come soon:

  1. The blood of millions of innocent lives is shed and body parts are sold for profit in this country, while our government supports and funds such monstrous activity.
  2. God’s purpose in Creation, and His declared purpose for marriage, has been ignored and ruled against by the highest court in the land.
  3. Police authority is devalued by a great many people and undermined by political leaders.
  4. God-fearing, Bible-believing Christians are forbidden by the U.S. administration from saying the name of their God in the military.
  5. European businessmen and government officials cannot wait to do business with Iran—a leading state sponsor of the persecution and murder of innocent people.
  6. Persecuted Christians from the Middle East and elsewhere are forbidden entry visas into the United States and Europe. And yet illegal aliens—terrorists among them—get in and are given support.
  7. News programs report nearly every day on the rape and murder of Christian women and children by ISIS, while our government leaders cannot be bothered to condemn it, let alone do something about it.
  8. A sex change operation can get you a call from the highest office holder in the land to commend you for your “courage,” while families of fallen soldiers receive nothing.
  9. Those who announce their choice to reject God’s created order become heroes, while those who have taken a vow of poverty and serve the least among us are discriminated against.

With those, and many other government decisions made to marginalize righteousness and the righteous, can God’s judgment be far behind?

We can already see the signs of the lifting of God’s hand upon America through the cowardice of today’s politicians. Lying by public officials is rampant (and is even considered a virtue by many). Politicians refer to their political opponents as terrorists, while at the same time, they refuse to label the real terrorists as such.Elected government officials, out of fear of criticism, hide behind parliamentary maneuvers to avoid obeying the Constitution and allowing religious liberty.

We are already reaping the leaders that we deserve.

Twenty-six hundred years ago, a similar situation took place among a people who had once believed in and worshipped the one true God. The rulers and the people of the day had abandoned God.

But God sent them spokesmen to deliver the truth—among them a man named Jeremiah.

Jeremiah warned and warned and warned them that God’s judgment could not be stayed forever. God’s principle of sowing and reaping will be carried out unless there is a perceptible change.

But no one would listen. They mocked God, and Jeremiah was vilified—just as today’s spokesmen are, such as myself.

Sadly, the inevitable judgment came. Terrorists from Babylon entered the “Promised Land” and maimed and killed many and took others hostage. Of course, the same people who had mocked God, then cried out, “Where is God?”

The very God they had insulted, the very God they had rejected, then ironically became the object of their ire for not answering their pleas and giving them the prosperity they wanted.

What form of judgment will God take this time? Only He knows the answer to that. But our country can still turn to Him now, before it is too late. If we don’t, however, God’s judgment will be inevitable.

“Is God’s judgement now inevitable?”

“Inevitable”? That implies something in the future. Look at who is president. Now, we have to start worrying about the severity.

It is not just inevitable. It is already here. Read Romans 1 on how God’s judgment progresses. How much further judgment we get will depend on if we repent.

It’s started when we denied God and embrace false gods, then we erected idols, then we disobeyed our parents and so on. If you point to the homosexual marriage is the big problem, you mist what got us here. Denying God. Homosexual marriage is a symptom of a much greater problem.

Alinsky dedicated Rules for Radicals to Lucifer:

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

“God’s” judgments are, I think it safe to say, almost always natural consequences.

A population that is wicked and stupid enough to give any votes to pro-abortion politicians is too stupid and wicked to realize that electing wicked, violent people to public office is a surefire way get treason, theft, war, tyranny, oppression, etc., etc. Of course, that is what we have received from every President since Reagan. (The Bushes have all been fake pro-lifers. They have done enough nipping at abortion to keep getting pro-life votes.)

Doubt it. We aren’t going to change unless we get rid of the 1st amendment or change it to suit a specific religion or group of religions (Catholic, Protestant, Jewish). Abortion has been going on for 239 years in the US. Drug abuse 239 years. Homosexuality will always be around. Sex....well that ain’t going away. As far as sin we aren’t any different than any nation that has ever existed.

"judgement" is not "punishment" . . .and many confuse the two. Judgement means the clear delineation of good and evil. Good and evil are separated. . .where "good" to evil people is called, by them, to be "evil" and vice versa. It is at that time, God brings the truth to "judge" which is which. . .and at that time. . the people must choose. ..we ARE at such a time. .and based on how we choose. . .punishments will be meted out. . .but not by God. . .but by our own hand reaping the evil fruits of the seeds we sowed. Also remember the principle of representation. . .as God wanted to spare the entire city of Sodom and Gomorrah based upon Abraham's ability to find a representative group of the righteous. Now is the time for the righteous to take a stand. . .as Kim Davis is doing. . .

If the representative number of the righteous is pleasing to God. . He will spare America and give us more time to make her a "shining city upon a hill" as we pledged to do at the beginning or our history.

“If you point to the homosexual marriage is the big problem, you mist what got us here. Denying God. Homosexual marriage is a symptom of a much greater problem.”

Well said! Thank you! Americas downfall has happened a drip and a drop at a time and it is all of us who have allowed it. We have embraced many things in our society that defy The Almighty’s Law; so much so that we don’t even view them a wrong anymore. Homosexuality is just one of Satan’s best and sharpest tools whose time has come. It’s astounding how many people in this nation that was founded so that we might worship Our Creator as we chose, who don’t even believe He exists. That alone denotes a huge failure on our part and makes us worthy of whatever punishment we receive. It isn’t as if The Bible doesn’t warn us. There’s still time to repent. There will be until the very end. But just like Sodom and Gomorrah and the days of Noah, precious few seem to be listening.

In the OT example of Judah, the southern kingdom and the later one to go into captivity, God spared the last couple good kings from seeing the judgment int heir day,, but the sinned reached a point of no return, and the country had not totally repented, just did better temporarily under a good king. Hezekiah and Josiah did not see the judgment in their days, because they walked upright before the Lord, especially Josiah, who purged the heathen places and the pagan priests. God brought judgment in the day of Jehoiacin, Josiah’s son who did not follow his father’s footsteps. Should Cruz, a faithful Christian, be elected president, it is possible that God could hold back the judgment for a time, but that depends upon the people, as well. Will we repent and be more righteous? Maybe for a while we might see better days, but the bent of most American citizens is toward sin, With the republican party not willing to deal with the PP defunding, or stand for a biblical definition of marriage (87 republicans signed a friend of the court petition to support gay marriage being made legal) we will have a fierce fight ahead of us. At best, we can pray for God to have mercy on us, but judgment IS coming. We deserve that.

Yes, God's Judgment is inevitable. But that's different from what we're discussing. God's Judgment is the end of the material world by fire.

2 Peter 3:7-12: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Judgment is indeed inevitable. But what's happening now to the Western World is not Judgment. What's happening now is a very similar phenomenon to what happened to the Jews when they turned their backs on God. When they did that, God simply allowed their enemies to conquer them. You can read about it beginning in the book of Isaiah to the end of the old testament. The prophets tried to warn them, but the Jews were like today's liberals, viz. they preferred the risk of destruction to actually doing the right thing.

God is simply giving the West what it has built for itself, viz. a world sans God's Protective Hand. We've sown the wind and we're not going to like what we reap.
