Go ahead and buy yourself a Tim Tebow jersey, because Rocky Balboa has just endorsed Tebowmania in Philadelphia.

"How could you not like Tim Tebow?" Sylvester Stallone rhetorically asked a TMZ reporter yesterday after news that Eagles quarterback Matt Barkely was traded to the Cardinals, opening up a spot on the roster for Tebow.

The caption explains it.

“Rocky” star Sylvester Stallone not only thinks the Eagles should sign Tim Tebow, he wants Tebow to start.

Why? The Eagles are a forgiving team....they accept all.......dog killers, wife girlfriend killer/abusers and lack of skills players. They are an equal opportunity team. That is why they keep winning season after season.....oh stop it....that last sentence is a /sarc.

You have a real difficult time with truth and facts don’t you? Was there anything wrong with my post at all factually?

No.

“Was there anything wrong with my post at all factually?”

Tebow had a good outing last Thursday. It must have been tortuous for you.

Tim Tebow has an absolutely spectacular pre-season with the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe he earned the starting position but that's going to be up to the coaches.

In that last pre-season game, Tebow looked like a young Tom Brady. He also brings more to the team then just his own athleticism. His positive attitude and leadership skills inspires the rest of the team to do better. Just having him on the field will probably add 10 points a game, without him even having to throw a ball or take a snap, because all the other teammates will step it up.

If the Eagles were to start Tebow in every game this season, they would get to the Super Bowl. That I am sure of. Now whether they would beat Brady and the Patriots in the Super Bowl is another matter, but I think they would at least get to the big game.

However, I don't think the Eagle's coaching staff has it in them to start Tebow. They will likely be afraid of the political backlash that will come their way as many left wing Democrats hate religion and by extension they really hate Tim Tebow. Philadelphia is a very left-wing town.

Vs the 3rd string. Pre-season games tend to be tortuous. I don’t dislike Tebow, I just understand the game well enough to know he’s not starting QB material. He seems like a nice guy, but that’s where it ends.

Yep, tortuous, and the idea that he’s proven that he can win games as a starter, and now he’s improved. It must eat through your brain like a worm.

...

Bradford will get hurt. Sanchez will be Sanchez. They may not have a choice but to start Tebow at some point.

Tortuous because pre-season games are terrible football played primarily by 3rd stringers and practice squad members. Tebow has proven he can’t hit the open man, can’t read a defense, and quite simply is not an NFL QB. You cultists need to learn that a person can point out a player’s flaws and not dislike them. If there’s somebody here having their brain eaten it’s you, especially when he spends the entire season on the bench. Like I said, I like him, but reality is reality and the reality is Tebow is a bad QB.
