RUSH: Let's go to the audio sound bites, because this is the next phase of this, and that is this internecine war going on within conservatism.
First up, CNN's Reliable Sources on Sunday morning, Brian Stelter the host, and he brought in Jackie Calmes from the New York Times who wrote this big, long piece last week about how talk radio is steering the Republican Party down the wrong path and everybody's afraid of talk radio. The Republican Party, it's just a shame. Washington was so much better before there was talk radio, Washington was so much better before there was Fox News, and now this has messed everything up.

Nobody knows what a conservative is.
But it is easier to spot a freedom fighter.

Trump is something very different in sheeps clothing.
Rush ripped into the GOP media today. He basically did the entire 3 hour show on how the George Wills and FOX News panels are no different than the GOP establishment. One in the same. All talk, no action - only thing they care about is impressing their liberal colleagues in Washington.
He said (paraphrasing), “All these beltway types who are whining that’Trump is not a real conservative’, well what good is conservatism if you do nothing. If you sit around and have dinner with Obama, and write about the perfect creases in his pants.’ These people are complaining about the Trump while Obama is crapping all over the Constitution.”
So say you about Trump, but I think that is a misread.
Trump is being Trump. What you see is what you get. He’s not hiding like you say.
It boils down to one question: Do you believe Trump’s recent change(s) of heart on the majority of issues?
Ted Cruz is a freedom fighter and a conservativeYour/the Cruz build-up is much bigger than any facts or evidence you can produce. He's done nothing but "debate" and talk. In that way he is no different than then Senator Obama...No results to show.
If Cruz is elected, unless you like just talking and debating, an increase in green cards and H1B visas, you are in for a huge let down
You are right Trump is no Conservative. Trying to figure that one out - part jackass, part Elephant, part teflon, and part arrognant. Kinda of reminds me like Obama, as they are kinda like one another, Trump is Obama’s brother from another mother!
The anti-Trump, GOPe RINO jackboot lickers don’t actually care what Trump is or isn’t about - they only care to trash him - which is why, until he’s inaugurated, all we’re gonna hear about is how unelectable he is.

So now you are questioning the intelligence of another Freeper because they dare to question Donald Trump. Where were you when the media never questioned Obama. Suddenly it like parts of Free republic are there just to criticize anyone whom begs to differ with Donald Trump. I believe that FR was and is designed for people to question political idealogues. Come now Donald Trump is no blank slate and he has his skeletons in his closet. So when will people on FR do an honest determination in that Trump is what is best for America or is Trump just bloviating in the wind and making money for his next celebratory show - Celberatory President coming the Fall of 2016 on NBC, MSNBC, CBS, ABC

Cruz is running AGAINST Trump for the same job.
Cruz is my choice too. “The Don” is causing the GOP lots of trouble, which I think is good. I could actually see a Cruz/Trump ticket being good for the country. If Trump does not decidedly stand against abortion, I could not vote for him.
Not unlike the contempt the GOPe had for Reagan.
