A study released by the American Journal of Public Health, and published by The Huffington Post, claims high private gun ownership rates are tied to police officer deaths.

The study contrasts states based on gun ownership rates, listing “high gun ownership states [as] Alaska, Alabama, Arkansas, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming” and low gun ownership locales as “Connecticut, D.C., Hawaii, Illinios, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island.”

Well, when I need to get the "real facts" I always turn to the American journal of Public Health, JAMA or huffpo. They can always be counted on to post the things we need to know. /S

The Constitution guarantees private ownership of firearms.
The Constitution is silent on the subject of police forces.

Yet a growing number of top cops are encouraging private gun ownership as a means of fighting crime.

Remember the Huffpo’s most famous intellectual conclusion: 2+2=6 (for large values of 2, as 2 approaches 3).

‘Twould take scientific notation to approach an accurate number describing the stupidity of that collection of non achievers.

A “study” could draw the same conclusion from private ownership of automobiles.

“The Constitution is silent on the subject of police forces. “

There were no police forces in the colonies. They originated as private police companies who then rioted against each other and killed each other in territorial disputes, before being incorporated into city governments.

The Founding Fathers provided for Sheriffs. A Sheriff was an elected official who had virtually the power of a king in his county. He could raise a force to go after crime problems, like the Dalton gang.

Other federal police, like the Marshals, came along later.

A Mafia crime lord who became a New York politician introduced the first gun laws to disarm shop keepers so they couldn’t defend themselves against Mafia policy enforcers.

“Studies” conducted by America-hating, commie libs endanger freedoms in America. It’s too bad these “study” clowns didn’t take some civics while they were in school. Somebody might have mentioned the Bill of Rights to them. Nazis used to think this way.

“low gun ownership locales as “Connecticut, D.C., Hawaii, Illinios, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island.”

What is the percentage of violent crimes against civilians?
Chicago is the murder capital of the USA.

Notice that those states mentioned are mob controlled.

“Study Claims Private Gun Ownership Endangers Police”

Noticed they did not use the term “legal” in their posting. At least not in the beginning of the article. I only read part way I admit due lack of time.

One need not read any further to know what this "article" contains.

************************************************************************

My son, who is a cop, surveyed all 50 uniformed members of the department he works for, including the chief, all 50 were for private ownership and concealed carry.

That was a few years back, before we had concealed carry.

I live in red central Illinois, a long way from sewer Chicago.

I don’t even know what that means, I guess that means that I’m dumber than Huff Post.

So? How can a gun endanger a cop more than it endangers a private citizen?
