Its a new drug. And its a killer.
Known on the street as flakka, the synthetic concoction is hitting hard in Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and other parts of the country. Its causing a rash of emergency room visits and overdose deaths.
In one highly publicized Florida case, a man reportedly high on flakka gnawed on and disfigured another mans face before he was shot to death by police. Another user tried to break down the door of a police station in Fort Lauderdale, and a few weeks later, a man impaled himself while trying to climb a fence around the same station.
While police in the Kansas City area say they know of no cases involving flakka yet locally, they are aware that it could easily migrate here.
And if it does, said Johnny Bivens, sheriff of Lewis County, Ky., local officials are in for a rough ride.
This is the worst drug I have ever seen in my 18 years of law enforcement across the board, Bivens said. Nothing compares to this.
Also known as alpha-PVP, it has a similar chemical makeup to other drugs commonly known as bath salts, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse. . .

Something worse than meth.
Great.
There’s a police report. That isn’t a scientific study. Sometimes multi-drug abuse gets confused with the effects of a new substance.
Hey people try getting high on God.
But Wait! There's more!! It comes with flashbacks!
It is scary as Hell to raise a kid nowadays...
I kinda thought that Bath Salts was the all-time peak. But the way they describe Flakka....you’d have to tote a gun around with you twenty-four hours a day and if you encountered a Flakka-guy....you’d have to shoot the guy there on the spot.
At the rate of progress, I’d say by 2025, we will be disposing (my term for the act) of ten thousand Americans a year because of their violent and uncontrollable nature/addiction issue.
This sounds like “bath salts.”
So many people will do anything to run away. It’s like we have an epidemic of cowardice.
When I first read about bath salts, I thought people were going to Bed Bath And Beyond and buying stuff to use as dope.
Seriously.
I don’t know... sounds like a zombie attack to me.
LOL... I share your ignorance...
Yeah, me too. When I read about some guy chewing another guy’s face off, I told Mrs Joe, “That’s it! No more Calgon for you!”
I don’t really get out much.
:D
The local news is currently talking about the “heroin epidemic”.
I thought that stuff died out in the 60s.
I’d be ashamed to tell you how often I listen to people talking amongst themselves about all this stuff and I’m too embarrassed to say “Whut?”
I have perfected an ignorant but seemingly sage, concerned frown.
It’s as if I’m so horrified, I’m at a loss for words.
[don’t tell anyone I’m *this* oblivious]
;D
“Calgon, take me away.....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuugh!!!! My face!”
Remember Allegra?
She’s the one who had to repeatedly explain to me that BB&B was *not* peddling Zombie Dope.
;D
Sometimes, it is good to be oblivious.
LOL!
lol so did I
I read about morning glory seeds being made into a kind of LSD, on the rise now.
Well.
That’s a relief.
:)
Morning Glories are very toxic.
Are people *that* stupid?
When I first started watching Breaking Bad and Walter assembled the “ingredients”, I had a total Get Outta Here! moment.
So I Googled it and it was true.
*Why* would anyone think consuming that laundry list of toxic chemicals was a *good* idea?
thats what I think!
the only wa to kill a flakka zombie...shoot the head!
