As someone posted on Twitter, “You paid them to do this, and if they are sued and lose, you’ll pay the fine. Happy with big government, yet?”

"They are not going to get away with this," said Russell Begaye, president of the Navajo Nation, which intends to sue the EPA.
Thanks Kaslin.

And the liberal viewpoint on this? Conservatives shouldn't feel too smug about crackpot conspiracy theories...as any Trump thread proves. Conspiracies are everywhere...

LOL! That’s almost exactly what I posted in my Facebook feed:
“The EPA CAUSED this spill in Colorado with your tax dollars. If they issue themselves a fine (*chuckle*), theyll PAY it with your tax dollars, too. Tired of Big Government yet?”

Such optimism.
The EPA WILL get away with this because they are the ultimate authority.
If this were a corporation, they could and would be sued.

Indeed. But blind defense of party (yes, I do consider the EPA part of the Dem party now days) is mostly a left thing.

Here is what i know...and I have talked to several, one who is from the area, who i worked with for a couple years. Said that the dumb asses actually dug out the plug to the containment pond and there was in excess of 3 million gallons of that crap released into the water systems-water that is used by people in NM, AZ, NV, CO, UT and CA. Forget Mexico..it’ll never get there.
So the excuse is this. It will be minimal.
Question to you all is. What is the cumulative effect of drinking water that has mercury, and other heavy metals in it? What about cyanide?
The reports are that people are already seeing well water showing signs of it along that area. Now that could be since that place is rocky and that water could seep into the wells very easily.
