On Sunday’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” on ABC, GOP presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee reiterated his thoughts on abortion from Thursday’s debate. When it comes to abortion, Huckabee wants Americans to “finally wake up” and realize that the constitutional rights of human beings are being violated with abortion.

"Guaranteed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life ..." One of the founding principles of this Country. Should be an open and shut court case, but with the evil bunch that dominates the SCOTUS and commie hangers-on wishing to impress the antiCHRIST at the lower echelons, it would probably take a Constitutional Amendment. That is a lengthy process, and in the meantime, how many more innocents will be brutally slaughtered?

Once you have exceptions then there are always more.
They already have those rights, given that they are humans-in-development. A country that considers rights for monkeys and not for babies, is a country that has lost its purpose for existence and has become materialistic and atheistic.

I completely agree. What Huck says is true (although I would suggest that the First Amendment has already done this, and even more importantly God Himself). However, due to Roe v Wade and the current SCOTUS, the reality of Huck's proposal is zero, zip, nada. But it gets a cheer from his little segment of a minimally informed target market. The next POTUS can't make this happen and in fact their hands will be full with everything else on the economy, foreign affairs and reigning in the federal leviathan.
If a candidate for POTUS were serious about this issue, they would be advocating defunding PP and not going for shameless "Kabuki Theatre" like Huck does, knowing full well there is no teeth to his "red meat" soundbite.
Big talker during the primaries (usually taking votes from people with more substantive conservative records), a big zero when given power.
Exactly. Huckabee has this wrong: We’re DENYING rights to the unborn. We are powerless to give them something God already gave to them.

The one thing the candidates should be emphasizing is that ‘mommy’s choice’ ended after she agreed (99.9% of the time. I’m not including rape/incest) to sex.
Once the 2 halves join, it is no longer JUST ‘her own’, but a new entity (be it Fe/Male); it sure as sh!t ain’t no puppy!
