The latest in the events marking a year since the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri (all times local):

St. Louis County Police say an officer who came under heavy gunfire returned shots amid a protest in Ferguson.
The department confirmed the shooting in a statement on Sunday night, less than an hour after shots rang out as hundreds had gathered to mark the anniversary of the death of Michael Brown. The police department tweeted that at least two unmarked cars were hit by gunfire.

It is too bad that these people who pretend to care about MB so much did not put him on a path of good instead of being a loser thug. So they should blame themselves.
It was a slow weekend in Chicago. Thankfully, they have strict gun control there. Who knows how bad it would be if they didn't.

Seriesly, the real animals of the four-legged variety (one of whom is sleeping on the floor near me now) are well-behaved and not acting up like these feral thugs. And as far as I know, there's not been a recent case of a four-legged variety of animal breaking into a liquor store and making off with a flask or two or three...

There was also looting again that the protest organizers are now claiming happened after the protesters had gone home.
Pretty confusing, they apparently only have a protest when claiming one was in progress benefits them, then claim it’s a non-protest when it goes wrong. The participants look pretty much the same in both, though, so maybe they should issue special thug-looter-shooter ID so TV viewers can tell who’s who.
Would be nice if they would gather like that and clean up their neighborhoods.....put all that energy to work contributing to society rather keep playing the victim card even when there isn’t one.
If I ever do go to Ferguson, I’ll make sure to leave bread crumbs around so the pigeons will infinitely crap over the statue.
