T.D. Jakes Comes Out for ‘Gay Marriage’ [Matthew 13 - Great Last Days Bundling]

Megachurch leader and author T.D. Jakes says that homosexuals should attend congregations that affirm their lifestyle and that politics do not need to reflect biblical ethics, adding that his position on homosexuality is both “evolved and evolving.”

During an interview with the Huffington Post on Monday, Jakes was asked by a viewer if he believes that homosexuals and the black church can co-exist. “Absolutely… I think it is going to be diverse from church to church. Every church has a different opinion on the issue and every gay person is different,” he replied. “And I think that to speak that the church—the black church, the white church or any kind of church you wanna call it—are all the same, is totally not true.”

Jakes said that he thinks homosexuals should find congregations that affirm their lifestyle. “LGBT’s of different types and sorts have to find a place of worship that reflects what your views are and what you believe like anyone else,” he outlined...

There is a great bundling occurring in churches, politics, societies, and the entire world. Will you stand for truth, righteousness, and love? Or will you stand with political correctness, sodomy, abortion, and death? The lines are becoming clearer than ever giving the ignorant and uninformed one last chance to make an free choice.

Churches in America were once the "salt and light" that preserved and illuminated the path for America's people. De Tocqueville said that America's greatness was the direct result of Biblical "righteousness being preached from the pulpits" in every town. Except for a handful of non-denominational Bible churches, most churches have become a den of politically correct thieves. But this is no surprise to Jesus, who said in the last days their would be a great bundling. Some for the fire, some for his barn. What side are you on? Where is your allegiance? With God's politically incorrect Word? Or with men?

Matthew 13: 24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying , The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up , and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this *. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Wow. I thought T.D. Jakes would be a Bible preacher until the end.

How truly sad.

There is one Lord, one faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of us all. The church’s one foundation is the Word of God, both the written word and the living Word. There is no place for heterodoxy in God’s church.

I wonder if TBN is going to keep Jakes on their network; I think the line of demarcation is clear now, and it is time to see who is on the Lord’s side.

He’s an entertainer that uses a church for a stage.

These guys make millions off of Christianity by selling “gospel” albums where they basically sing a little and scream bible verses in between lyrics, so the Hollywood influence is huge.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

“Jakes said that he thinks homosexuals should find congregations that affirm their lifestyle.”

They already exist. They’re called bath houses, Boy Scout offices and AIDS clinics.

An Jesus said, “Lo, I will be with you always, even unto the end of the age” As this age is ending it’s no surprise this happening...a few weeks back Tony Campolo made similar statements. It is a concern that a major evangelical leader of a large group of mostly black folks that Jakes leads it is sad but a sign of our fallen nature.
The only weapon we need is the Word of the Lord which is his sword.
There are some things you may have a different inpretretation. Do you baptize by immersion or sprinkling or whatever. But SIN is not negotiable and Sodomy is sin. Period!

While TD Jakes was certainly a charismatic and powerful speaker, he never renounced his Sabellianism (or Modalism), a heretical teaching that God was one Person, not three in one. TD Jakes and other "oneness" pentacostals reject the historic and fundamental view of the Trinity.

The Christian belief of the Godhead, Jesus, The Father, and Holy Spirit are three separate Persons that are co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal. They are all God having all power (omnipotence), all knowledge (omniscience) and all presence (omnipresence) except when Jesus was on earth in bodily form. Jesus exists from everlasting to everlasting. He was sent from the Father to fulfill the will of the Father. He willingly submitted but is no less God. The apostle John warned us about men like TD Jakes...

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Yes, and so is Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Pope Francis, Paula White, Joyce Meyer, Benny Hinn, and all the other wolves in sheep’s clothing making merchandise of God’s flock. But the flock loves them so...;-(

Honestly, I think T.D. Jakes has been tap dancing around this issue for awhile in an apparently distinct effort to play all sides of this issue.

As a leader and for the honor of Christ, Jakes needs to come out from among them and tell us whether he believes marriage is between one man and one woman.

I am tired of all the preachers hiding behind “churches should accept homosexuals within their church”. Sure, all sinners should be welcome with open arms to church, the real question being assiduously avoided is, is homosexuality an act of transgression against a holy God?

Way too much pandering seemingly for purposes of selling books and maintaining the accolades and the approval of man.

Very sad. Moreover, this has the distinct impact of demoralizing believers who see these “leaders” seemingly abandon the Word of God.

What is crazy is that Oprah is seen as a religious leader in this country. Her “all roads lead to god” sermons have made a huge impact on traditional America.
