Yeppers. Wal-Mart, Sears and Amazon had to fork over the dough or be prohibited from doing business in New York.
How is this any different than Mafia tactics?

A few hundred more laws and there’ll be nobody left in NY except dead broke criminals and rich politicians.

Wal-Mart and Sears Holdings, which owns Kmart, said they were pleased to resolve the attorney general's concerns.I'm sure they were.
To be honest, the more bad things that happen to Walmart and Sears the better. Just wish it wasn't this silly issue. I worked for both, and still haven't decided which was worse. Glad I'm not at either place anymore.

The process was the punishment. They probably could have prevailed in court, but they added up the dollars and cents paid for attorneys and delayed business and such and said meh, we’ll settle.
Kind of disappointing given that Walmart normally refuses to be pushover for liability cases. But tyrannical governments don’t “learn lessons.”

Sure Mr. Schneiderwoman... Getting rid of toy guns in NYS will cut crime by what?
This is almost as stupid as the law limiting the number of rounds a magazine can hold. Which again saved how many lives? Reduced crime by how much???

It isn’t different. It is extortion. This is what happens when organized crime holds the reins of political power.

Most of the black-robed activists are nothing short of corrupt and will rule in favor of the State, every time.

If that's illegal, then Krogers, Aldi's, Wegmans and Trader Joes need to be fined as well.

Wal-Mart and Sears Holdings, which owns Kmart
****************************************************************
Maybe should read,............... “Sears Holdings, which is owned by Kmart”, since Kmart bought out Sears, not the other way around.
