The protest was part of a national event held by Women Betrayed, an anti-abortion organization that aims to eliminate public funding for Planned Parenthood. The location on Providence Road is officially called the Columbia Health Center.
The rally came two days before the center will begin taking appointments for abortions. Columbia Health Center will be the only abortion provider in mid-Missouri. Because of the 72-hour waiting period, the first day that abortions can be administered will be Aug. 3.

For some reason, I was under the impression that Missouri barely had any abortion clinics and that the one was in St. Louis but I must be wrong, a map I saw did make it look like one was in the KC area as well.
Some cops really are stupid.
Planned Parenthood and the Democrat Party are the new American Nazi Party.
How did they organize so quickly?
I am not looking forward to a repeat of the Randall Terry Operation Rescue failures of the 1980’s and 90’s. Nor do I relish a repeat of the cultural division fomented in that time.
We have liberals freaking out about Planned Parenthood now, why would anyone revert to the old style abortion protest, which accomplished nothing?
IOW, I smell Establishment funded astroturf.

The facility is this story was closed several years ago, and for a while has only referred women to the other two locations. Within the past few days they announced that they will begin doing abortions again. (The story mentions August 3, but the reporter isn't much of a writer....)
