Recall they had a meeting a couple of weeks ago, kind of looks like they may have set up a tag team.
As president (defacto head of the party) he can have him removed quietly.
Cruz needs to go home and practice in the mirror, he doesn't have the charisma, the demeanor, or even the voice to publicly pull it off in the same way Trump can...But it's a start.
Cruz has been in the trenches long before Donald. Either way both are exposing the (R)ats.

Ted Cruz is going to be a guest on Rush’s radio show today....and...as we all know....Rush rarely has guests on his show.
Rush also mentioned that on the Senate floor, Sen. Cruz said that there is no difference between Harry Reid and Mitch McConnell.

Cruz needs to prepare for ‘incoming’ because McConnell will likely have some retribution aimed at Cruz.
I hope he gets to participate in the first debate.

I really like Cruz, but he is only now realizing McConnell lies?
Most of us here have known McConnell has been a corrupt liar for years.
Why is it even relevant where he is polling? Is he right or not? Sounds like Ted is dead on.
Removing McConnell would be a huge blessing!
The betrayal after the landslide giving the GOPe congress has been infuriating and we effectively have been told to shut up and sit down, our votes don’t matter. Taxation without Representation. Just what inflamed our founders into a revolution - I hope we have the same guts.
As far as Cruz and the Trump playbook goes, I believe he is letting Trump drop the napalm on the democrats and the RINO contenders and to bite back when attacked; all the while agreeing with or praising Trump here and there and still looking to be above the fray. Letting Trump do the much needed dirty work early on is a sensible approach.
