During a rally Thursday protesting the Iran deal not including the release of four imprisoned Americans, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, was met with boisterous protests from the anti-war group Code Pink. Instead of ignoring the protesters, he debated them.

After noting the approval of the deal through the U.N. Security Council, Code Pink cofounder Medea Benjamin asked Cruz why he though he knew better than the countries that approved the deal, arguing that he was pushing the country closer to war. Cruz responded, charging that the Ayatollah Khamenei has admitted that the country is producing nuclear weapons.

Cruz went on: "You did not respond to the irrefutable point that this deal would send over $100 billion dollars to Iran and those billions of dollars will be used to murder Americans by jihadists." Pointing to the protestors signs that read "Peace with Iran," the Texas senator retorted that the Islamic regime does not reciprocate those views.

The 2016 Republican Presidential candidate added that in the midst the negotiation, the Ayatollah Khamenei was leading Iranians in chanting "death to America."

Cruz is now Trump-like understanding that taking on the press and confronting the critics gets ratings and free publicity.

Despite the government lie that we are not at war with Islam - they sure as hell are at war with us. In other words, we've surrendered but they keep fighting-

Code Pink aided and abetted the enemy, provided monetary aid to the enemy.

Ted Cruz is going to be a great President if picked. Way more backbone at least.

What I don’t get is why our side has been so incredibly deferential to this lowlife scum.

Ted hasn't changed.

He hasn’t changed, but he has become more...assertive and vocal. Trump has given all the candidates room to take some swings. So far only Ted has really taken advantage. To his credit.

By golly, I love this man.

Again, if he is not on the ballot, I write in his name.

“Ted Cruz is going to be a great President if picked.”

Picked? That would be Jeb. Just like Papa and Baby Bush,
Half dead Dole, McTard, and Romniroid. Reagan taught them
the lesson to never let a conservative on the ballot unless
you actually want to win by a landslide. Do the republicans
act like winners? No. They act like spineless liberals because
that is what they are.
