Planned Parenthood: We Got $528.4 Million in Taxpayer Funds in One Year

Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, received $528.4 million in taxpayer funding, according to its 2013-2014 annual report, [1] which runs from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014.

The report shows that Planned Parenthood received $528.4 million in “government health services grants and reimbursements” during a one-year period, the latest figures available.

That means it received an average of $1,447,671 in taxpayer funds per day and an average of $60,320 every hour.

Several members of Congress [2], as well as some GOP presidential candidates, are calling for Planned Parenthood to be defunded after a video surfaced showing Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services, discussing the sale of baby parts with two actors posing as a fetal tissue procurement company.

The video was secretly made by the Center for Medical Progress, a non-profit “group of citizen journalists dedicated to monitoring and reporting on medical ethics and advances.”

Three Republican-led congressional committees plan to hold hearings investigating the matter, and House Speaker John Boehner has also called [3] on President Barack Obama to condemn and end the practice of selling baby body parts

Enough already! Defund this holocaust, public TV, NPR and over a billions dollars is saved. Defund all the special interest programs the commies have salted in the budget and my bet is you would make a great deal of progress to balancing the budget.

“Defund all the special interest programs the commies have salted in the budget and my bet is you would make a great deal of progress to balancing the budget.”

The GOP has controlled the appropriations process in Congress since January 2011. Every dime spent by the federal leviathan is approved by the GOP House and since January 2015 by a GOP House and Senate.

The GOP is as much a part of the spending problem as Obama. Perhaps even more to blame because they do have the power to stop it and don’t.

Anyone who believes we only need to elect a GOP president should answer one question. Do you really believe Jeb will get spending under control and stop the foolishness? His brother George lost his spending veto pen his first day in office and didn’t even try to reign in spending under his watch. The cumulative federal deficit doubled from $5 to $10 trillion under the last Bush.

The GOP loves Planned Parenthood and the other special interest groups just as much as the Democrats. I no longer listen to the lies they spout. I simply watch their despicable behavior.

So you really believe Obola wouldn’t veto a budget where PP funding was eliminated?

It’s a circle, though.

It could be viewed as money laundering, like a lot of democrat subsidy/donations are.

Take taxpayer dollars, subsidize some entity, and that entity launders the money back into democrat campaign donations.

So, the ‘rats aren’t directly stealing our tax money to get elected, but they are definitely doing it indirectly.

I absolutely agree he would veto it. The Republicans should then pass the legislation as is and sent it back. Let him veto it every day for a month if necessary to make the point. Ultimately he will have to cave or see an entire department of the government unfunded.

To date the Republicans have refused to go to the mat on spending even though they control the process. They allow the President to say they are “shutting down the government” if they even threaten playing hard ball. In reality, it is Obama shutting down the government by vetoing the appropriations bill. However, the Republicans don’t have the backbone to say the appropriations bill is has been passed, the President is shutting down the government by vetoing it.

It is all about playing hardball and standing against the media firestorm. Boehner, McConnell and most of the GOP representatives simply don’t have the backbone for a fight. Obama does, so he wins when he should lose.
