'I'll say what I want to say’: Donald Trump unrepentant after McCain comments stir anger
AP ^ | 7-19-2015 | AP in Washington

Republican presidential contenders Florida Senator Marco Rubio and former Texas Governor Rick Perry said Trump, with his latest bombast, had demonstrated he was not fit to be president.

At an Iowa candidate forum on Saturday, Trump dismissed Republican Senator John McCain’s reputation as a war hero, saying the navy pilot was merely taken captive after being shot down in Vietnam and “I like people who weren’t captured.”

“I will say what I want to say,” Trump said on Sunday, claiming a strong record of supporting veterans and accusing McCain of failing them in Washington.

“I will do far more for veterans than John McCain has done for many, many years, with all talk no action,” Trump said on ABC’s This Week. “He’s on television all the time, talking, talking. Nothing gets done.”

I watched the video yesterday and could not repeat the whole thing back verbatim today, no.
Just go watch the speech again.

LOL...So, I guess you saw this part?

Mr. Trump upended a Republican presidential forum here, and the race more broadly, by saying of the Arizona senator and former prisoner of war: “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”

Hmmm....

OH the irony of your post!

While saying candidates should be disparaging each other, you disparage Trump supporters by calling them “chumps.”

Can you even follow your own advice? Are you a hypocrite?

Someone posted a link to me to the tape after my first comments and after I saw it, it was apparent that this is being spun up to take Trump out. My first comments on this were uninformed as well, so don’t feel bad.

I don’t do the RR quote for most of the GOPe at all. Especially for McCain and the leadership of the Senate and House.

I just think there are millions of things that Trump could have tossed back at McCain easily. Now it is all about McCain who isn’t even running.

Cruz is my fave, but I would be disappointed if Trump apologized.

Donald Trump is not hindered by polite political speech or “touchy-feely” constraints. He also bears grudges better and longer than most.

Everyone knows it. Or should. And are scared to death of being his next target!!!

There was more to the whole thing than that and with the exception of his service to our country I consider McCain a political traitor to our country.
People like him pave the way for Obama and he himself doesn’t realize it because I think he is mental.

But it’s OK for McCain to call us crazies and hobbits and whacko-birds.

McCain has betrayed the American citizens and then he insults them because they don’t like it.

Did you see where O’Malley apologized for saying “All lives matter”?

Thinking about what that means is scary.

Now they’re terrified:

Has America gone nuts? Could Republican frontrunner Donald Trump really become president?

“I don’t do the RR quote for most of the GOPe at all. Especially for McCain and the leadership of the Senate and House.”

Whatever McCain did or did not do in the military, he has been a weak in the Senate and a horrible presidential candidate. He is part of the problem and definitely not part of the solution.

See my tagline as to what I think of the leadership. Many others could be added.

Manfred Mann had a song entitled “Ha Ha Said the Clown.” Brings tears to my eyes and reminds me of slow draw McCain. What a senile clown for sure.
