The US Department of Justice will allow for the release of Jonathan Pollard, accused of spying for Israel, after fulfilling his 30-year sentence, according to a report in "Algemeiner."
The report cited a source close to the possible decision on Pollard's release, while a similar report also appeared in the Haredi site from New Jersey, "Lakewood Scope," citing a source in the US Senate.
Speculation suggests that the Department of Justice's neutral stance on Pollard's release may be part of American concessions to Israel intended to soothe tensions after the US and other world powers signed a nuclear deal with Iran last week. US and Israeli officials refused to respond to the reports on Pollard.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
?? The Administration will “allow for” his release after he served his full sentence? How exactly is this:
1. news,
2. a concession
I think they have things backwards.
Pollard should’ve gotten five days at the most anyway. Jonathan Pollard is a hero for saving Israel during Sadaam Hussein’s attack upon it in Operation Desert Storm.
How exactly does the government “oppose” the release of a prisoner that has fulfilled their sentence?
Never mind.....he was sentenced to life in prison. My bad.
How did he do that?
Wouldn’t you like the REAL STORY??
Me too.
Adm/Sen. Jerimiah Denton blinked in morse code the word torture while being interviewed in then North Vietnam by a French (?) tv interviewer, I think. I think the late Sen. Denton was tortured because he did not want to talk to the news reporters. He also said he supported the U.S. position on North Vietnam whatever it was.
My question was about Pollard supposedly saving Israel during Desert Storm. What’s Denton got to do with it?
Shoot! I read the question wrong.
I don’t generally shoot people for such a mistake, but watch your step! :)
I am confused. Is the government allowed to block the release of anyone after a prison term has been served in full?
Should have read a bit further. :)
