While I’m not thinking it was particularly wise to say it...getting captured is not an achievement.
Liberals were saying basically the same thing when McCain was running against Obama.
Someone needs to unseat McCin with prejudice. The man has betrayed the Ameican people countless times and deserves to be removed from office permanently.
Actually, if you’re McCain, this has got to really smart.
While not an achievement, getting shot down and becoming a POW is not a subject for mockery, no matter what his politics.

You know, the headlines didn’t decry McCain calling us all crazies. The MSM thinks this is the deal-breaker but not for me. I was never one to take one comment and hang my hat on it. This is how we got Obama, by eliminating everyone who slipped up or said something stupid on the Republican side.
Lord knows they’d never do this on the Dem side. Also, he did go on to say, “Ok, he’s probably a war hero, but he’s saying terrible things about people” or something very similar.
I hope and pray Americans can stand agains political correctness even if the speaker was wrong. btw, he said on Facebook that all who served are heroes. Media’s playing it like conservatives are dumping him for this comment, can only hope they’re wrong.

I am not a fan of John McCain because he has done so little for our Veterans and he should know better than anybody what the Veterans need, especially in regards to the VA. He is yet another all talk, no action politician who spends too much time on television and not enough time doing his job and helping the Vets. He is also allowing our military to decrease substantially in size and strength, something which should never be allowed to happen.
Furthermore, he was extremely disrespectful to the thousands upon thousands of people, many of whom happen to be his constituents, that came to listen to me speak about illegal immigration in Phoenix last week by calling them “crazies”.
These were not “crazies”-—these were great American citizens.
I have great respect for all those who serve in our military including those that weren’t captured and are also heroes.
I want to strengthen our military and take care of our Veterans. I want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN especially for those that serve to protect our freedom. I am fighting for our Veterans!

Who was it who was calling some of his fellow Republicans “wacko birds”?
The Ministry Of Propaganda on orders from their employers in The Cheap Labor Express will try to use this to drive Trump from the race.
I think of war heroes as those that save others soldiers lives, or give their lives doing so, or are key to winning great battles.
Now McCain was captured and survived torture. He saved his own life. He’s a war survivor. Does that make him a hero? I’ve never thought of him as one in the above sense.
I think this really shows how we are the stupid party.
I am not going to defend Trump (Cruz guy myself): what he said was worse than a crime - it was a blunder.
But when some fool on the left says something real stupid, the other leftists just shut up and try to change the subject. When one of ours does it, other “conservatives” fall all over themselves trying to denounce it. Just for once, I would like to hear a Republican candidate decline to express an opinion on one of these gotcha questions.
Oh, and McCain is still a douche.
