Like a fresh bag of popcorn, Democratic Party angst is hard to resist.

I especially enjoyed the "independents" and "revenge" sections, as well as the revisionist and "we won't go into that now" style of reporting.

Oddly, it’s been sixteen years since the vast majority of America have heard from Al Gore. If you asked a hundred people in a mall to identify Al....I have doubts that the majority could connect him to being Clinton’s VP or the guy who ran against Bush.

“It’s time to draft Al Gore: If Democrats want to win, it’s clear neither Hillary nor Sanders.. ”

That's trading one hypocrite for another.

Is Michael Dukakis still alive? He’d be another possibility.

I had a scary thought. One man they could win with, if they could get him to run, and who if approached right, would have to consider it:

Colin Powell

Think about it. General Powell has “evolved” on almost every major issue since he left the Bush administration and is currently as leftist as most major establishment Democrats, so switching parties would not be a big thing.

Then, there is the fact that he did serve honorably and courageously as a soldier, and can probably be counted on to repair some of the damage that Obama has caused to the military forces, even if he can’t roll back all the changes.

Finally, who better to task with cleaning up the mess made by the first African American President than a staid, serious, professional African American with impeccable credentials?

Although they’re manufactured scandals,

Are you kidding me?

...issues like the private emails at the State Department and the Benghazi fiasco will plague Clinton in the general election; Republicans (duplicitously, of course) will use these non-issues to bludgeon her month after month, debate after debate, ad after ad.

Letting our ambassador and servicemen die as they did is a "non-issue". What else can be said?

Jesus Christ: You can’t impeach Him and He ain’t gonna resign.

It’s beginning to dawn on them that there’s a very good chance they will be up against Trump in the general.

Speaking only of electability Trump is nearly the equal of Ronald Reagan... he has the same sort of spunk and humor that can carry him to victory.

They simply cannot win with Hillary, and forget Phocahontas..Trump would make a laughing stock of her every day. Biden? no chance in hell. Sanders... laughable. And there’s really no one else with any name recognition.

Their biggest worry is that Trump will leave no scandal unearthed! Their candidate must be well known, full of gravitas, likable and squeaky clean.... they got nothing :-)

They are serious about Gore running. I thought it was a joke at first. Every point they tried to make about Gore is utterly ridiculous.

Run Al, run. Get your a$$ kicked again.

It seemed thoughtful and intelligent then i go to the manufactured part on the emails and Benghazi (likely the same issue) and all credibility went out the window. This same writer would be blue in the face ranting if it was a republican candidate with those issues.

Salon sure has a short memory. I seem to remember a number of episodes of a former political with an alias of Mr. Stone who liked getting happy endings at his local massage parlors.

Go ahead Mr ManBearPIg....we'd love exposing your past in full glory.
