Sen. John McCain, Arizona senator – and a Republican In Name Only to tea-party types – is going to face an election year challenge from Kelli Ward, a 46-year-old doctor and second-term Arizona state senator.
Hundreds of supporters packed into a Lake Havasu City banquet room to hear her official announcement: “I, Dr. Kelli Ward, a proud mom, a physician, a military wife and yes, I am running for the United States Senate,” Breitbart reported.
McCain has been serving in Washington, D.C., since 1983. He faces a re-election battle in 2016.

What this man should be facing is a few court-ordered psychiatrists (unbiased) to determine his commitment to a sanatorium. This man is insane.

I actually don’t care too much really because with McLame we might as well have a democrat anyway- but it would be nice to get a true TEA party conservative
I’m not AZ but I think we need a more prominent candidate to have a real shot.
But if she’s the only one who’ll challenge him, so be it.

She sounds pretty good to this AZ resident. I will be supporting her with donation and vote..so far. I respect McCain for his service, but have given up on him as a Senator. Time for him to retire and for new blood.
Maybe she can talk about mclames war on women. One in particular. The one without whom he would not have gotten one third of the votes.
McCain has had a challenger every cycle....hopefully this one will stick. I think McCain will be in the Senate until he decides to leave or death.

Ward is a RINO
Strom Thurmond had more of his facilities when he was over 100 than McCain has had in at least the last two decades. Plus, he had the sense to retire when he figured out he was losing it.
The media tried to make great hay over his affair with a black woman who worked for his family. A child was borne from that dalliance, IIRC. But I never did get to see where the great condemnation of him was in the media onslaught of all this was. It dwindled off. I guess that they didn’t want to go that far back into Kleagle Byrd’s background as fair play.

I am from Arizona and YES we need a change.
I guess the pertinent question would be, "Is she a sane RINO?"
If so, that would sufficiently differentiate her from McLame...

LOL! And mclame is a dem? We kinda thought (s)electing dean heller(r?) in NV was going to help but, meh. Not so much. Both he and our house rep mark amodei (r?) went for the trade deal and all I got in response was boiler plate BS on how it would help people in northern NV. I’m wondering if it’s even worth the effort to contact them about blocking the iran scam deal.
