Cornyn is the epitome of a RINO, only acts conservative immediately prior to election to another 6 year term.
a disgrace.
I fantasized about Ted Cruz entering primary to run against Cornyn - he would have won it easily, giving up his Senate seat for a cruz-approved temporary replacement by the conservative gov of Texas. Cruz is vastly more popular in this state than Cornyn. We would have two Ted Cruz’s now.
One can dream......

Why he gets elected is beyond me. He is the Texas version of lindsey graham. A festering boil.

Stupid, where is the Republican leadership? The dems are running for cover. The country is pissed, if they wait till the fall the rage will have subsided somewhat. Go on the damn offensive! Pass border security bills, fence construction bills, a fast track deportation bill for law for the worst criminals. Who would oppose a fast track deportation bill for criminals in today's environment?
They should also announce to the dreamers no reform will happen until these laws are passed and the border secure! If the dreamers want to wait for dems to get control of the house and filibuster proof senate they will have a long wait.

There are 3 good reasons for sanctuary cities.
The federal govt needs to be enforcing federal and not be pushing these costs off on the local taxpayer.
When local community policing has anything to do with immigration, immigrants will not co-operate with police. No one will call the police if they fear they will be deported.
Local police don't want to set themselves up for a lawsuit if they hold a prisoner without charging them with a crime, while they wait for the feds to "get around to it"
The real problem is that George Bush and his GOP congress hired lots of new border enforcement because they got a lot of political mileage out of that, but never hired the needed ICE agents, even though, all over the nation, local leos were asking for more ICE agents.

Go check the tape from Sept-Oct of 14 right here on this forum the lickspittle was flying that we absolutely had to elect to these turds to give Mitch the Majority to stop Obama.
In reality we should have let the rats win.
At least then the RINOS would have faked at opposing the Communist. Now they are conspiring with them!
