I see it a little differently than you, and at some level I think we might agree on it.
I think it would be a great lesson to their shareholders that they have invested unwisely, and the company will not survive with these types of harebrained, non-business approaches.
How many of those shareholders are starry-eyed liberals who invest in Starbucks because of their “free trade coffee” and their stupid attitudes about race relations?
I would consider the diminishment of profitability due to looted stores a good lesson in business to liberals. Instead of hearing how parts of Baltimore and other large cites have become food deserts due to racism, they might realize “Oh, other companies aren’t building there,not because they are racist, but because the costs of putting up steel bars, surveillance systems, and the increased insurance to include looting coverage.
I would consider that a failure well failed indeed.
