Thank you for the note, calling my error into question. It allowed me to come here and clarify.

You’re welcome and thanks for the clarification!

In regards to Mr Buchanans’ assertions that areas of the nation have ‘seceded with their hearts’, I agree.

And this is the time before the storm, the time of danger.

Nice post. Hope will dawn soon for this nation. This happens 2 times in Man’s life;even by reason of strength 3 times.

Our enemies mocked America back in 1980,and just a few years later they all wanted glasnost/perestroika with America.
God has promises to keep with the good guys and bad guys.

"Personally, I am using language and having thoughts I wouldn’t have imagined 10 years ago. I am there—disillusioned, disgusted, and enraged."

It's very much the same with me.

Every President after Coolidge, except Reagan, has been a tool of the Northeast liberal establishment—and the international Leftist movement of which the Northeast liberal establishment is a mere puppet. These are the people who put Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and many other dictators in power. The Bush family are just as bought-and-paid-for and just as UNpatriotic as the Kennedys, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, the Clintons, and Obama. They put on a spectacular, multi-generational show. Although Obama IS the first actual non-citizen agent of the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House, he is actually the FOURTH or FIFTH agent of the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House.

Jesus explicitly taught that the teaching of Genesis on male and female and marriage—one-husband and one-wife in an exclusive and lifelong union—was his teaching on marriage. If he had intended NOT to re-affirm the Old Testament’s teaching on what acts constitute sexual sin—including sodomy—it would have been necessary for him to say so, and for the New Testament to record that fact. There is, of course, not a syllable to that effect.

The old saw—”Jesus didn’t say anything about X, Y, or Z...”—is just late-night-freshman-bull-session crap.

Kids have little or no respect for parents any more thanks to liberals telling them they can do as they please and can lie to their parents.

***
As much as I would like to lay that one on the liberals, I must disagree. Kids are disrespectful today because their parents have allowed them to be. Many parents can’t be bothered teaching their children manners and proper behavior.

I remember Him saying things about the sanctity of marriage. His first miracle was turning water into wine at a wedding.

I don’t recall him addressing a man and a woman at any point, but as you mentioned, he may have addressed the marriage from the garden of Eden.

Jesus abrogated nothing of the moral law already taught in Judaism.

I agree with that Arthur. The only laws struck down at the time of Jesus death, were the ceremonial laws that heralded the sacrificial lamb. Jesus being the lamb, there was no need to herald the coming lamb any longer.

All other moral laws remained in effect. The Sabbath and all the ten commandments, all remained.

I’m not trying to say Christ did away with the moral laws. I just don’t remember reading about Him getting specific with regard to men and women vs men and men.

You don’t have to sell me on the Bible’s take on homosexuality. It’s quite clear IMO.

Right. Jesus is not recorded as saying anything about sex between men. Given that he and every person he ever spoke to except the Roman centurion, the Syro-Phoenician woman, and Pilate (Am I forgetting anyone?) was a Jew, there would be no reason for him to discuss it, and even if he ever did, no reason for the N.T. to mention it.

Guess you left your computer on for some one else to use, this doesn't sound like you.

Jesus said every Word of the Bible was true.

Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

That’s an interesting point, Him not having to address it because of the people he was addressing. Hadn’t considered that.

If Jesus had spent five years only talking about homosexuality, the NYT wouldn’t touch on it,and if it did it would only be the trash Christ.

I believe so also.

The guy is absolutely clueless. Despite his military service, he seems to me to be almost mentally deficient.

The thought does come to mind that he might be so smart that he is a social misfit of the highest kind.

This would allow for him to be unable to think his way out of a paper bag.

How do you get to be so stupid you intercede for Islam in Iran, enable North Korea to obtain nuclear weapons and a missile delivery system that can probably reach some of the U. S., and play patticake with some of the worst abusers of humans on the planet?

He strikes me as being about as unGodly as it gets. He does come off as very evil. I agree.
