Awww come on man, be honest....if Ted Cruz was leading the polls, you would be very happy, and would NEVER say “these polls do not mean squat”.

I assure that is 100% my honest opinion. My posting history is readily available to peruse. No snark intended but you don't know FReepers (especially this one) as well as you think you do.

you must have missed the whole Newt bimbo eruption that sunk his candidacy....

You are right. I only remember Cain getting that which turned out to be BS. Never a word about it once he dropped out.

Their huge problem is that Hillary has more dead prostitutes in the closet than he does.

And he is just the man to widely and loudly parade the fact before the public.

He would bring up scandals of all sorts during the debates!
Wouldn’t that be fun!

To the dems Trump is the most frightening foe they have ever faced.

As an addendum, the ones who peak early have a tendency to decline over time.

Not saying that is so in this case but there is plenty of history to indicate it just may well be.

"Think about it.... Trump must have more dead prostitutes in his closet (among other things) than anyone who’s ever run for president."

Maybe so.

And if it is, the GOPe will publish it BEFORE the first primary.

Trump/Cruz 2016....

Trump never had a boss. I doubt he will want 1 at age 70.
Cruz in only mid-40’s. Needs executive experience as Veep before trying for POTUS.

Don't bet on Trump imploding. All of this pushback from the backstabbers has been an attempt to stop the Trump campaign from gaining traction and to keep him off the debate stage.

Instead, they've finally encountered someone who doesn't play their game. They've managed to turn an outspoken multi-billionaire into a sympathetic father figure who cares about us, and will fight for what we believe in. Besides that, US citizens like a good soap opera. Four years of a Trump WH will be great entertainment.

No... actually I like Trump.

I am just being realistic and KNOW that regardless of how right he might be on the issues and regardless of how great a president he might could be, either his history of his mouth will doom him eventually.

I am guessing he has a long history of hiring prostitutes.

probably has had flings with girls from his pageants which will come out one after another and accuse him of raping them or something of that sort.

His many ex-wives will rush to the microphones and spill the beans on him.

having done business with liberals all these years, he's probably paid bribes to public officials to secure government contracts.

And that's not even touching on his association with the mafia though his casino holdings.

And THAT'S just off the top of my head of the kinds of things hiding in Donald Trumps closet that WILL eventually come out.

OK, for the time being I accept your postings as totally honest. But I will still be looking for your posts when Cruz rises near top of polls.

I agree. What concerns me is that this attack on Trump (because of his words and opinions) which is practically cheered by many in the republican establishment can be very dangerous.

You raise a good point.

Also, I can't recall any politician in my lifetime (I am 54) who put on the line what Trump is. He is not backing down even with the loss of business, constant ridicule and quite possibly his personal safety.

In fact, if he doesn't come out this as the perceived victor in this it could very well damage his reputation for life.

That is a remarkable risk, I don't care how you slice it.

I suggest Trump offers Cruz the VP slot and agrees to resign and leave it to Cruz after 2yrs and a day.

Think of it, Trump for 2 years and then Cruz for the next 10 years :-)

This is the only legal way to serve more than 8 years as president.

Be a nice touch if Cruz chose Palin as his VP :-)

President H. W. Bush in 1991 said about a particularly mouthy politician, “he’s an insincere charlatan.”

The eGOPe have got Trump way out flanked on being clowns and charatans. Hey where's your other son Billy C. these days?

If the GOPe’s have the goods on Trump, they had better get it out
before the first debate in a month.

Otherwise Cruz and Trump are going to run the table in that first debate.

If Trump had affairs, I hope none of them were homo-sexual. However I have not seen even a hint about this in the media. Have you seen pictures of his wives? I doubt he needs to stray out of marriage.

Mrs. Melania Trump

Rubberio is not any more palatable than McAmnesty.
Walker hinting he wants Rubberio as a VP makes me think he is still an amnesty guy.

I will never vote for the destruction of the rule of law and the country.

Rand Paul is expected to do well in Iowa and may be in NH.

I agree, Trump is risking it all on this.

He could be bankrupt and a social outcast within 5 years if he doesn’t play this right.
