Following Donald Trump's controversial comments suggesting that Mexican immigrants are "rapists" who bring drugs and crime to America, his fellow 2016 contenders have largely condemned his inflammatory remarks. But a handful of Republican hopefuls have either defended the real estate mogul or, in one case, fled a question on the subject to avoid going on the record.
Rick Santorum, Ted Cruz, and Ben Carson are standing behind Trump. They have defended (even applauded) the billionaire, in what might be attempts to appeal to conservatives opposed to immigration reform.
If Motherf*****’ Jones doesn’t like something......then it is good.
I’ve thought if Trump is doing any good right now he his separating the wheat from the amnesty chaff pretty well.
“Ive thought if Trump is doing any good right now he his separating the wheat from the amnesty chaff pretty well.”
With Trump surging in the polls I’m expecting all the GOP candidates to publicly change their position.
If the trend continues sometime in the next 90 days even Jeb will be saying “Me too”.
But we’ve already found out who the true believers are now. We’ve even seen Bush and some of the other condemn Trump by obfuscating the dispute to imply his comments were about even legal Hispanics in this country. We know.

Yeah we do know. It was snark. I thought about a sarcasm tag but it isn’t really sarcasm...just some pithy snark lol.
The professional politicians will say they’re transgendered bearded Elvis if they think it will help them get next to power and wealth.
Well, you’re right about the RINOs maybe changing their tunes if Trump’s numbers keep going up with this. They may just even stop the obfuscating and come out and say they’re against “illegals” for those reasons....
One thing you can be certain of is that these RINOs will try to have their cake and eat it too. :0)
They should all have stood behind him. What advantage do they gain by attacking him? Not one more vote in my opinion and they lose the opportunity to attack the Dems on immigration.
I wonder if she changed her last name to “Gross” because it suited, or if she acquired it normally and just grew into it.
Drawing liberal mouth frothing flack=”Sir - we are over the target”
Well said!
Like I posted before, the best way to beat Trump is to promise to put his number on speed-dial at the White House.
Trump might not be the perfect President, and he might be a recent convert, but he's an ‘idea man’ who understands diplomacy/negotiations better than any presidential candidate we've had since Alan Keyes.
And frankly, Keyes was not very great at negotiations either.
Trump's engineering savvy could also come in handy. It certainly did for General Lee, General Wellington [against Napoleon], etc. So he should always be offered a chance to save government money on construction, such as ‘the Great Wall’.
It would be a miracle if Trump doesn't really blow it in the future the same way another conservative newcomer, Dick Morris, blew it when he wanted Condi Rice to run against Hillary. New conservatives have lots of ‘catchup’, and most of them fail to understand the conservative base.
So Cruz and Carson and Santorum ought to praise Trump when he gets it right. It makes them shine too.
Regarding Cruz:
His election-of-judges is not the best reform idea, but ...
AT LEAST HE TAKES THAT PROBLEM SERIOUSLY!
They do need to be held accountable by a super-majority vote however, a revised ‘impeachment’ system that links directly to unconstitutional court opinions.
We also need a way to taint bad court opinions that make them ‘points of interest’ while not ‘precedent’.
Presidents don't ratify constitutional amendments, but they do nominate judges. That's one reason why I still favor Cruz over everyone else.
Yes. And “that’s a good thing” as ole Martha would say.
So Santorum, Cruz, and Carson top the list of his Vice President considerations.
Trump’s thoughts on Mexican Rapists make one wonder about Black thugs.
If the press must equate the criminals and rapists with all Mexicans, must not the press equate all blacks with Trayvon? Aren’t all American Black druggie thugs?
Isn’t the bald headed Cummins just an ordinary drug dealin street thug at heart?
For detailed information about just how common child rape, gang rape, incest rape, etc. is among Mexicans who come to this country, I recommend Ann Coulter’s new book, Adios America.
I’m currently reading it, and sometimes I have to put it down and walk away because I get so angry.
Now Trump is smartly moving on to Common Core.
Attack it all. Like Patton and his tanks.
Yes I agree.
