Trump bump: Why his media war against offended corporations is boosting him
Fox News ^ | July 3rd, 2015 | By Howard Kurtz

The first time I interviewed Donald Trump, back in 1987, he said this:

“When I go up to New Hampshire -- I'm not running for president, by the way -- I get the best crowd, the best of everything in terms of reception.

“The politicians go up and get a moderate audience. I go up, and they're scalping tickets. You heard that? They're scalping tickets. Why? Because people don't want to be ripped off, and this country is being ripped off. I think if I ran, I'd win.”

He has been honing this act for a long time.

Many pundits—some of them the same wiseguys who thought Trump would sink like a stone—are saying that he’s taken a beating over the last week. After all, NBC, Univision, Macy’s and Serta have all cut ties with him over his comments on Mexican immigrants.

Many people obviously found those comments offensive. But in purely political terms, this is helping Trump.

For one thing, he has dominated the campaign news cycle for a week, drawing more attention than all the other candidates combined. He has driven home his message with a spate of cable news interviews. (And—subtle plug here—The Donald will be talking about these issues Sunday on “Media Buzz.”)

Everyone, on both sides, is talking about what Donald Trump wants to talk about.

People are starved for the truth. They know they are being lied to on a daily basis and react accordingly when someone is honest. The Stupid Party will never learn that lesson.

He is. He has decided to go all out and expose commie/fascism all over the place.

He has nothing to lose. He has money and is getting older.

I believe his tentacles may run deep.

If Trump keeps pressing forward and doesn’t start apologizing or running away from his statements he has
a real chance of winning. He’s struck much more
of a chord with Americans than any other Republican
candidate. The others i the race are either on the wrong side or already too late as Trump has stolen the issue and their thunder.

And that says it all.

Except most clowns on the GOP Presidental circus bus remain silent.
Afraid of their own shadow.

Oooohhh! Macy is going to drop his line. Macy has become the dollar store of department stores. Crap merchandise at heavily discounted prices. I bet he’s shaking in his boots. Lol

Yeah, the Republiclowns are too busy denouncing Trump because they're afraid of losing the "Latino vote."

You'd they buy a clue and understand why he's getting the support he's getting.

If the tide currents change, watch the candidates.

The Left media will go all out. That is a good thing.
Expose them now to the Low Information Voter.

Trumps biggest problem will be his social stances. I don’t think he is that beholden to the Right or Left on this.

He wants Government to be strong in economic doctrine to our USA.

Many hate the truth. It is a rare commodity these days. Evil reigns and barbarians rule.

Exactly. If he keeps it up and refuses to back down, I believe he may win and not by a small margin. Look how many red counties we have, now imagine flipping some of the swing counties.

That’s why they call them the Stupid Party. That’s why we conservatives are staying home in droves when they nominate McCains, Doles, Bushes and Romneys.

“The left always finds the truth “offensive”.”

The few Leftists with whom I am forced to deal, ALL make “being offended” their life's work! They will try to find something to “be offended about” in the most innocuous comment. "Sure is a hot day!" Their answer: "It's because of global warming!"

Trump brings the Reagan Democrats back to the GOP...White, Blue Collar men. And their families.

They'll turn out and they'll vote.
