Yes, Gay Marriage Hurts Me Personally

I’ve been more concerned by the large number of self-proclaimed Christians and conservatives who’ve repeatedly informed me that the whole gay marriage issue isn’t important. “It won’t affect us,” they tell me over and over again. It’s not relevant to our lives. We aren’t hurt by it. Who cares? It’s all good. Whatevs, man. There are matters more urgent than truth and morality and the future of the human race. Like, what about the economy and stuff?

I’m not proud to say it, but I feel an immense disgust for these Apathetic, Weak, Oblivious, Scared, Distracted, Impotent, Frivolous, Christians And Conservatives (AWOSDIFCACs for short). I’m not saying disgust is the correct emotional response, but I admit I experience it. I can deal with liberals. They’re just wrong about everything. Fine. That’s simple. But AWOSDIFCACs know and understand the truth, yet yawn or shrink away in fear.

The “it doesn’t affect us” mantra has become one of the more common, and absolutely the most damaging, idea circulating through the ranks of the defeatists. It’s a gross and ridiculous lie, one which accomplishes the impressive feat of being wrong in two different ways. It’s wrong when it says we should only care about things that have an impact on our lives, and it’s wrong when it says gay marriage will have no impact on our lives.

First, since when are we only supposed to care about things that will physically or financially affect us? Don’t we normally condemn a person who fails to act or think or speak simply because he, himself, individually, isn’t yet feeling the effect of it? Don’t we criticize a person who doesn’t care until he’s getting punched in the nose by the problem?

It’s amazing, given his support of Gay Marriage, that Glen Beck allows this type of article on The Blaze.

His argument wasn’t very good - how does gay marriage effect me?

The destruction of the family, of which gay-marriage is just another milestone, has effected me greatly. I can’t live in the city, because I’d have to send my kids to school there, and those schools are filled with kids from broken homes for whom school is a holding pen. I can’t live in many neighborhoods because of that same reason. I pay super high taxes and my country is swimming in debt because of the welfare state replacing the family. And when it all collapses, the destruction of the family will make it much worse. So, yes, gay marriage does effect me directly.

Matt is usually pretty straight on line with how I feel. Another good opinion piece.

Same sex marriage affects me because I have already had to change my behavior and how I interact with the public due to the example that was made of ex-Mozilla CEO Brandon Eich. The Pink Swastika crowd ground him into the ground and forced him out of his job. Who in their right mind would want to expose their family and company to such abuse?

#LoveWins => #BakeTheCake

It should be clear by now that the #LoveWins crowd wants more than a legal ruling that same sex “marriage” is now a civil right protected by the Constitutions. The #LoveWins crowd really crave approval of their sin, and they cannot rest until everyone blesses their sin. Anyone who sees their sin for what it is must be crushed and silenced just like was done to Branden Eich.

And on this point, we have a force that cannot rest until it accomplishes its desperate goal, to secure approval from people who cannot and will not give it, because the God they love tells them what an abomination this sin is.

Its because those types of Christians are naive and inexperienced with the depths to how sexually deviant and morally corrupt the LGBTers are yet. The types of things they do behind closed doors when noone is watching with your children, the way the hunt, stalk, and prey on children to seduce them to the lifestyle, the way they go out hunting daily for sexual escapades, etc. their whole existence is based on a deviant lifestyle. I learned it while working as LEO. I would be on patrol and see the fags do their eyeball trolling looking for anyone to have sex with in parks, then go into bathrooms with other queers and do their thing, or pull up in cars near each other in parks then go jump into another one without knowing them one iota and hell well you know the rest. Their lifestyle repulses me and they will have sex with anyone anywhere and are unclean and unsafe. One of their delicacies are children and if the say it isn’t they are liars. Do NOT leave your children unattended in parks! You wonder why a ot of children come up missing? This is one of the major reasons. The Christians that are tolerating this need to wake up. The REAL fags are not like the Modern Family putzes or celebrities you see on TV. They’re on there just to make them seem non-threatening. That’s the MSM’s job right?

“How does it affect you?” is a defensive question offered by those who attempt to disarm their opponents.

How did Nazis killing Jews affect most Americans in 1942? How did southern plantation owners owning slaves affect most people who lived in the New York in 1859?

The idea that if something immoral doesn’t personally affect you then you have no business opposing it carries the stench of self-centered narcissism.

Anyone can oppose something that causes them harm, it is moral discipline that allows us to oppose an evil that does not reach us.

Wish I could read the rest of that, but I wont let the Blaze anywhere near my computer. Glenn can go Beck himself.

When they start feeling up their kids and claiming it is “love”, then they will care...if they can get free of the thought police long enough to flee.

Got to love the love crowd and its hate for Christians.

Even if you are simply a libertarian you have to object to the Supreme Court essentially removing state rights to the federal government.

As a Christian you better damn well be prepared for what’s to come. The deviant will lead the country in mass persecution of Christian institutions.

Here in Canada, thank God, my grandmother gave us the money to send our kids to a Christian school. The province kicks in about half the cost of private education here. There is no damn way I would let my children loose in public school with its mandate to promote deviancy in all subjects it teaches.

perhaps all the “it doesn’t affect me/us” christians had better review the basic teaching of Jesus Christ about the supreme Law of God (paraphrasing): first love the Lord your God with everything you’ve got, and equivalently, love your neighbor as yourself.

I contend that any professing “Christian” who is okay with what has happened to marriage is not a Christian at all. There might be a very narrow chance that it due to mere ignorance, but Biblical teaching is abundantly clear on this issue, and any true Christian will honor the Word of God.

It affects us because marriage redefinition is not the destination by a long shot, but is a powerful staging point for a much more vicious attack.

Much more Fascism springs from this change, not just that "gays" can get "married." We will be made to care - by force.

I know Glen claims to have a deep Christian faith. I don’t know how he can reconcile that with his position on gay marriage.

It seems to me that if you are a Christian, you know that homosexuality is an abomination, so why would you condone that? Isn’t standing for the truth the only thing a true Christian can do?
