A full-fledged cultural cleansing of the Southern states is underway as lawmakers debate whether to remove Confederate flags and rename schools and parks named after Confederate war heroes.
There are also discussions in Washington, D.C. about removing Confederate-related statues from the U.S. Capitol — including a statue of Jefferson Davis, the former president of the Confederacy.
“It’s something to think about,” Sen. Harry Reid told reporters.
Republicans, meanwhile, are leading the charge in South Carolina and Mississippi to remove the Confederate flag — called a symbol of hate and racism.
Wal-Mart jumped on the band wagon, too – announcing they will remove all Confederate merchandise from its stores. EBay announced they will no longer sell Confederate flags or any other memorabilia.
Has the Department of Homeland Security classified the Sons and Daughters of the Confederacy as right-wing hate groups, yet?
Meanwhile, there are dozens of reports from around the southeast of lawmakers hoping to rename parks and schools and streets that were originally named in honor of Confederates.
*Tennessee lawmakers are demanding that a bust of Nathan Bedford Forrest be removed from the statehouse;
*Baltimore lawmakers want to rename Robert E. Lee Park;
*Dallas lawmakers are considering demands to rename Stonewall Jackson Elementary School;
*St. Louis lawmakers are debating over the future of a confederate statue in a city park;
*Commissioners in Hillsborough, North Carolina are debating whether to remove the words “Confederate Memorial” from a Confederate memorial.
It won’t be too long before they start renaming cities and towns and counties named after Confederates. And I reckon it’s only a matter of time before they bulldoze the Confederate grave yards and war memorials too.
Maybe we can just pretend the Civil War never happened.

Don’t kid yourselves. This has been well planned for a long time.
But anything related to the Confederacy is not allowed.
Things have been trending this way for years now. It was little things at first, like Disney's refusal to sell DVD copies of Song of the South in the U.S., and then the censoring of Huckleberry Finn.

About 20 years ago a leftist reporter from the Atlanta bird cage liner they call a newspaper came to Cherokee, N.C. to stir up trouble about the Atlanta Braves “racist” tomahawk chop sign. Principal Chief Ed Taylor shut him up by simply saying “We like the tomahawk chop here.”
The reporter stammered “Thank you” got in his car and headed back to Atlanta. He never printed the quote from Chief Taylor.
Southerners should just say we like our flag and ignore the perpetually offended malcontents.

I don’t see where ebay has changed anything. All sorts of confederate flags are available as of right now.
This whole episode illustrates what is wrong with this country. One individual commits a terrible crime in Charleston and the whole nation goes into hysteria. Crime, murder, happens everyday. This crime was committed by ONE individual. It is a local matter, for the local police, prosecutors and court. Everybody else needs to calm down and get on with their lives.
This crime has nothing to do with the rest of us. But these days everything is a trauma and a drama. Nobody outside of Charleston should be talking about this. This country has become so childish and so negative.
You got that right and the timing is just right for Nov 2016.
The liberals and their plantation voters will be struttin because they have kicked some Southern ass, they will thus have low turn out while the Southerners and not just Conservatives will have blood in their eye.
We went through similar after the War of Northern Aggression, with lacky blacks placed in local power and the carpet baggers stole everything not tied down. Didn’t take long and the Union troops found another ill equipped group easier to kick around, the Indians, and the blacks found themselves all alone with the po’d bear they had been poking and ended up worse off for the next 100 years.
If anyone thinks this will end after all traces of the Confederacy are wiped out, they’re deluding themselves.
Next up will be a certain white slave owner called the father of the country. They’ll want his Mount Vernon home shut down.
Maybe they can turn it into a home for unwed black mothers.
After that, Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello and Poplar Forest, the Jefferson Memorial, and on and on.
There’s a bloodlust raging after Western white culture, and a large part of said culture is too cowed and guilt-eaten to even raise a hand in defense.

I would never have guessed that, but i suppose the real story here is the frezy of people determined to make that physio the most influence man of the 21st century. Capable of doing what no one has done in 200 years.
Don’t too much about lost war memorials too much soon enough we will have an entirely new set born out of the fact that people tend to repeat history they bury and forget.
The real lesion here is never vote for a RINO no matter who is running against them. If they win they will only give political cover to the enemy while they try to exterminate you from the Earth on the account of some random psychopath’s actions that have no legitimate relation to you.
I suppose at that point if your a conservative and want to have a voice, your only option will be to break the law.

The way this has happened so quickly suggests a “last straw” situation to me. I think the symbols of the Confederacy have been hanging by a thread for a while now. The church shooting was what finally triggered the collapse but it could have been any similar event. It just seems like the last moves in a battle that was lost some time ago. In fact, now that I think about, that’s basically how the whole Obama presidency feels — like a mopping up operation.
