No...really...why?
Rather symbolic - the trampling on of God’s sacred Covenant.
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG WE ARETH TOTALLY GONNATH SIP FRUITY COCKTAILS TONIGHTTH!
How precious. That sidewalk is just ax-ing for a new splash coat donation of white stucco paint.
“The money comes from fee that developers pay when they block streets and sidewalks to build projects, not other safety money.”
Money that could have been put into something that actually might have improved the city. Rainbow crosswalks are no more functional than non-rainbow crosswalks.
What a stupid waste of funds.
Apparently.
So a municipality will use tax dollars to paint a non-governmental flag in the crosswalks?
If I say I’m offended, will they paint over it?
Is this like marking a street MLK? That way visitors from out of town understand when they are in an area they should avoid?
Would love to see one of these “street artists” paint a confederate flag in a cross walk.
But the confederate flag is banned.
Seattle gay area - Redundant
“The love that dare not speak its name” is now the love that tells you where you’re allowed to cross the street.
Gee, and here I thought the whole city was homosexual. The mayor only painted certain segregated areas? That is discriminatory!
Probably not in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices....uniform so drivers can easily recognize signage and symbols without distraction - because we’re not a third world hellhole....yet.
I never understood using the rainbow colors. Why don’t the homos use the color brown. It would probably better represent their “activities” and lifestyle choice.
Well that really tells you how it is going. Rainbow crosswalks vs the Confederate Flag. Our downfall is coming fast.
Hmmm...painting the rainbow right on the ground.
The city is basically giving the finger to the Almighty Lord.
I look off to the west...the Cascadia Subduction Zone is just sitting there. The Seattle Fault runs right under the center of the city.
A major earthquake might wake some people up.
Perfect.
