All 3 people, the owner of the store, the store clerk and the friend who saved her life should get together and file a class action lawsuit against the mother for raising a thug. Who cares if it is considered frivolous or is thrown out, the thug was 18 and it’s possible you could get a judge who would let the case proceed but it really doesn’t matter. It’ll make irresponsible parents think twice. I was raised by parents where even thinking about robbing someone was inconceivable, and that lasted me my whole life, never committed one single solitary crime in my entire life other than parking tickets and I was homeless and jobless for a year and a half ten years ago at 42 years old. What’s this womans excuse? Why is her child robbing a store at 18 years old? This is DIRECT result of HER refusal to be responsible for her child while she was raising him.

Yeah, like Bloomie said a cellphone by your bed is better that a gun in your hand. If one person had a gun at that black church ....but since it was a gun free zone ....

Gee, Ma! Your son could have not pulled a gun on anyone or robbed that store. He would be alive and well, then.

And that continues to be the logic of the suicidal left. It is better for many people to be slaughtered by one crazed gunman than for even one person to be armed who could have stopped him.

Hostage rescue shots, especially when the hostage is being held with gun to head, should be head shots...

A shot to the cranio-occipital cavity (brain stem) short circuits any reflexive trigger press by the hostage taker...

Practice hostage rescue head shots as part of regular range drills...The life saved may be a loved one...

Great shot young man! Well done...One less dirt bag stealing our oxygen...

Yes, and if you defend yourself against someone who just got out of prison and was going to school to get a better job to support his twelve kids and three ex-wives the media will be merciless.

I believe that mother “Joy” should be charged for his death because she raised an idiot that became an armed robber.

Have the judge award the mom $1 and make her pay for her own lawyer fees. This way the mother cant sue again.

How about charging her instead? Criminal enabling? Child abuse? Criminal stupidly?

In China, would the mother have to pay for the bullet?

“...he just automatically went into the store and shot my son in the head.”

I didn’t read in the article what kind of gun the hero used. Maybe the hero revolvered the son in the head.
