Team Marco Strikes Again: Marco Rubio Brilliantly Responds To Hillary ‘Yesterday’ Remarks

It seems every time you turn around, the Hillary Clinton campaign team is attempting to copy Marco Rubio. She scheduled her official campaign announcement the day after him.

On Saturday during a campaign event (some of her supporters have laughably attempted to claim this was the “official official” announcement), she brought up a theme of ‘yesterday’, using the song of the same name by the Beatles to proclaim her GOP opponents were all about the past.

Ironically, it was a similar theme that Marco Rubio used during his campaign launch. During his announcement he said:

“Just yesterday, a leader from yesterday began a campaign for president by promising to take us back to yesterday.”

Because of that, Rubio’s team was ready to respond to Hillary and did so with this ad:

Aside from leaving Rubio that opening, it would seem odd that Hillary Clinton, who at the age of 67, and is wants to secure the votes of younger Americans, would choose a song recorded 50 years ago to attempt to make a point about her Republican counterparts.

If anything, this shows Rubio’s team is ready to respond quickly when they need to. It also reveals that perhaps Hillary’s team should at the very least, try to be more original.

Remember a few years ago when Rush used a parody of “Yesterday” to lampoon Bill Clinton? It looks like it went full circle.

Not a bad soundbite, but I will never vote for Rubio. Ted Cruz REMAINS the only true Conservative in this race.

Bingo.

Still, it's a far cry from when Hillary Clinton took the stage to Billy Joel's "Captain Jack" when she launched her 2000 New York Senate campaign.

I’m watching Rubio - as I am with all the candidates. He looks very serious about his run for the presidency. Yes, they all have warts and none is perfect, but, by golly - our worst candidate is better than anything the Dems have to offer - or the one now squatting in the WH ruining this country.

BTW did you happen to notice that many of the people in this thread trash Cruz for the trade vote are sad to see him “gone” and are shrugging off the same vote by Rubio because “he’s our horse now”.

Talk about a bunch of people who need an appointment to kiss my ass. LOL

You guys might enjoy this thread.

Apparently its OK that Rubio voted for the trade deal because he’s “our guy now”.

I have yet to see the “LIST” of those who actually voted for that stinker on Friday, and where is the “LIST” of our other candidates positions on that stinker?

Cruz came under fire mostly it seems for not simply being for it, but fairly or unfairly, for also promoting it. There’s thought to be a difference, I guess.

Yes, as you say they all have a wart now. Marco has disappointed and Cruz has caused a definite case of nerves.

LMAO! In what alternate universe is this supposed to be happening?

I’m on my way out the door & will get back to the thread later. In the meantime, I hope I don’t wreck the car from laughing too hard.

Din Maker: I was disappointed that Cruz voted for it. But, that’s the only “black mark” on his resume at this time. I’m still for him, but I’m very disappointed.

Din Maker:Well, I’m holding out for my guy, Ted Cruz, but it’s looking more and more like Rubio just might be the GOP candidate so his ad writers can just stay put. His Youth and ability to get a large Latino vote are his two strongest suits.

So Din Maker, I guess we can also expect that you are extremely disappointed in Marco Rubio for the very same reasons, right?

Well yeah, because he's the son of immigrants from Cuba, he's young, a lawyer, good family man, Hispanic and somewhat articulate! Nothing at all like Cruz ... oh, wait...

I love how so many people here are ready to dump Senator Cruz over how many LEGAL immigrants may come into the country and a vote on the TPA Trade Agreement because the TPP Trade Agreement contains “secret language” and has NOT been voted on yet. Is anyone offering a better candidate or just stating that Senator Cruz is not perfect or good enough?

Which just proves that their real purpose is not to find the best conservative candidate, but to try and damage Cruz.

The RATS are terrified of Rubio. They cant hurt him on scandals, money, family or personal conduct. He has his enemies but mostly from the Paulista types. He isnt my first choice but I’ll support him should he get the nod.

When the ads begin you know the race is revving up, or at least that someone is psyched, ready and eager, able to take Hillary on.

Possibly in Cruz country or Walker and Rand country there is no need for ads, but where are these guys? Where is Carly?

Carly was on Morning Joe this morning and absolutely had them gaping at the jaw. The girl is lightening in a bottle in a sit down interview. They practically freeze listening to her litany of “can do”.

I thought coming at Hillary as a unit would be a good idea for beginning ads. Guess Rubio and you and I are nearly the only ones.

Crickets.

One of the big Walker supporters (has a pro-Walker tag line) was all over the thousand and one Cruz trade threads trying to skewer Ted. On every thread. Not asking what it meant, not reading anything, just trying to make hay out of the Cruz position with the swarming insanity that was going on, piling on big time.

I reminded him that Walker had the same basic position, advocating people to vote the same way Cruz did.

He never replied.

Funny how that went.

There are some good people in the race and the last thing we need is to destroy any of them over a single position they all agree on.

Too much hyperbole about it as it is. I don’t care what Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, or Jeff Sessions said. I do my own research and thinking. Sure I’ve got concerns about it but with a good solid constitutionalist president behind us, we can be the corrective measure.

I pretty much agree.

Bush, Christie, Graham (maybe a couple others) I really flat out don't want, and I still can't trust Rubio because of his huge immigration gaffe.

I put Cruz first as our best candidate for multiple reasons, and I'm not throwing him under the bus for one or two things, although I wish he would reverse his H1 visa position. He's explained his position on the trade agreement well enough, I get where he's coming from and don't disagree (yet).

Din Maker, you’ve regularly beat the drum for identity politics; you refuse to see sense when it comes to this issue.

Brown Hispanics see nothing in common with lily-white Marco Rubio. You might want to huff and puff about it, but it’s true. They’re not going to flock to him any more than liberal women flocked to Sarah Palin because she was a female.

I just bought Ann Coulter’s book, BTW. and she says the exact same thing...it’s a pipe dream to believe Rubio will be catnip to Hispanic voters.

You can get all excited over that dishonest amnesty-pusher all you want, but don’t expect me to go along with it. He tried to sell us out once and he’ll do it again. I won’t help him destroy the country.
