It seems every time you turn around, the Hillary Clinton campaign team is attempting to copy Marco Rubio. She scheduled her official campaign announcement the day after him.
On Saturday during a campaign event (some of her supporters have laughably attempted to claim this was the official official announcement), she brought up a theme of yesterday, using the song of the same name by the Beatles to proclaim her GOP opponents were all about the past.
Ironically, it was a similar theme that Marco Rubio used during his campaign launch. During his announcement he said:
Just yesterday, a leader from yesterday began a campaign for president by promising to take us back to yesterday.
Because of that, Rubios team was ready to respond to Hillary and did so with this ad:
Aside from leaving Rubio that opening, it would seem odd that Hillary Clinton, who at the age of 67, and is wants to secure the votes of younger Americans, would choose a song recorded 50 years ago to attempt to make a point about her Republican counterparts.
If anything, this shows Rubios team is ready to respond quickly when they need to. It also reveals that perhaps Hillarys team should at the very least, try to be more original.
So Marco, be sure to ask Hillary about that trade deal......if you can.
Dueling open borders liberals.
It’s a shame they can’t be using thirty millimeter chain guns instead of words.
Hillary Clinton is NOTHING BUT YESTERDAY. She has nothing substantive to offer but more dissention, division and devolution of this country all to sate her appetites for power, control and money.
Ouch! I hope who ever gets the GOP nod gets Rubio’s ad writers...he or she will need them!
people forget 2008. she was politically tone deaf. her entire campaign was spectacularly inept. it just surprises me that people are surprised by her lousy campaign thus far.
Well, I’m holding out for my guy, Ted Cruz, but it’s looking more and more like Rubio just might be the GOP candidate so his ad writers can just stay put. His Youth and ability to get a large Latino vote are his two strongest suits.
Since Rubio voted with Ted Cruz on the trade vote he belongs on the hate list too.
Sure is convenient for him nobody bothers to ask him about it./s
She is too arrogant to run for Office.
ypu are 100% correct - we should NOT have worked so hard to defeat her in the primaries in 2008
I am hoping she DOES get the nomination this time- no one likes her
Not a bad soundbite, but I will never vote for Rubio. Ted Cruz REMAINS the only true Conservative in this race.
~~Cruz, OR LOSE~~
Marco is ON TIME with the push back and the fast gun! And up with ads actually makes an impression that he means business.
WTH is everybody else?
The Rubio team leaves Hillary nothing safe, makes her fight for every inch when she’s just bashed Republicans, and takes back that “YESTERDAY” story that he coined and she tried to steal for herself.
Very nice play. He also didn’t address crap that she didn’t address, like the trade agreement. He is actually running against Hillary, not against himself, in his ads.
Smart.
Thanks for bringing that up Rita. I thought I was the only one to notice that Rubio was the only GOP candidate to hit back at Hillary for accusing “all” Republicans of wanting to go back to policies of yesterday. I would have thought Fiorina, at least, would have jumped in there.
I’d love an honest breakdown of the demographics of her true believers. The only one I know is a middle aged, overweight lesbian. True story.
Or not.
Otherwise, Rubio is seen having made it to first base with panache, while the benchers look for their equipment.
Yesterday.
All my troubles seemed so far away -
Now it looks as though she’s here to stay . . .
I DON’T BELIEVE IN YESTERDAY . . . . . . . .
I don't actually think this is so, only by those who are intransigent regarding their support for Ted Cruz. Ted's a good guy, but so are several other potential candidates on the GOP side. Most conservatives are wiling to consider more than just one candidates for the nomination.
As much as I prefer Cruz or Walker, Rubio is who Hillary’s team is most worried about.
Their plan is to get Cruz and Walker supporters to bash each other to a pulp so they can concentrate on Rubio.
The rest are all DOA.
