Mitt Romney gives a brutal PowerPoint critique of Obama’s foreign policy
Washington Post ^ | 6/12/15 | Philip Rucker and Robert Costa

Ever since Mitt Romney’s loss to President Obama in 2012, it has become a mantra in the Republican Party that on foreign policy especially, “Romney was right.”

In a stuffy mountain lodge here Friday night, Romney joined the chorus. Dusting off a page from his management consulting playbook, the former Republican nominee delivered a speech by PowerPoint to more than 200 corporate CEOs and other attendees of his annual ideas festival about what he deemed (and titled his slides): “The Most Consequential Obama Foreign Policy Mistakes.”

Romney: criticizing Obama's failures more than the current GOP Congressional leadership.

Say what you want about Romney's lack of appeal to "pure" conservatism--He has, in one evening, done more to fight Obama's failures on foreign policy than the Republican leadership....

How I wish the Republicans would stop being scared to attack Obama and Hitlery's failures on foreign policy...they're clearly terrified because of demographics.

Where will truth begin to matter--regardless of what the consultants say?

I really don’t think that consultants are advising Republicans to be something that they are not already, and I don’t think that Republicans are scared to attack failures at all, they just ain’t gonna ‘cuz they don’t want to.

The GOP is part of the problem and not part of the solution, and so is Mitt R0mney.

I suppose prudent leadership is just “actin’ white” and therefore they just had to elect a bro - and suffer the consequences...along with the rest of us.

Mr. RomneyCARE, author of gay marriage by HIS imposition,
destroyer of the Mass. economy, who grubered everyone

So what? Most of us could put together something like that without originating Obamacare & homosexual marriage, fund abortion, diss President Reagan and believe in becoming a god with a harem and a planet.

As hated as he is by many here on FR you've gotta admit that he was right about Vlad Putin."The 1980's want their foreign policy back" my a$$!

Of course Governor Palin was *also* right about Vlad.

Why didn't he deliver a scathing, devastating attack on Obozo’s disastrous foreign policy 4 :-) years ago when he was running for president? Monica Crwaley’s brazen lies to cover up for Obama’s Gargantuan screw ups in Benghazi should have been taken up one challenged and turned into a campaign point e after the debates

So the anti-war draft dodger (he did publicly support the draft and the war for others), who has never had a male in his direct line ever serve America in uniform, during their entire 173 years here, is now an expert in foreign policy.

His father ran against Nixon and Reagan as the anti-war candidate seeking to become Commander in Chief during war time, while his son Mitt took a Mormon issued draft deferment and fled to France, as he said, "I was not planning on signing up for the military." _ " It was not my desire to go off and serve in Vietnam".

In 2008, and 2012, Mitt romney ran to be Commander in Chief during wartime, while his sons avoided, refused, to serve in the military, as all of romney's direct male line have, since the arrived in America to serve Joseph Smith in 1842.

No war, no draft, no national wave of patriotism, no 9/11, no Pearl Harbor, no anything, has ever inspired one of them to break that perfect streak, of refusing to serve.

A PowerPoint presentation now is too little too late. Mitt already had his chance to criticize the 0bama foreign policy when it truly was meaningful. He failed in the second and third POTUS debates, because he WILTED in the heat of battle.

(... it should be noted that 0bama was assisted greatly by the BEASTLY Candy Crowley ... but Milt still wilted)

Give me a big Freakin' Break!!!!

"Pure" conservatism???

Have you ever looked at Romney's record???

How do you completely IGNORE his support for ABORTION, including Rape, Incest, LIFE AND HEALTH OF THE MOTHER???

How do you completely overlook his support for the GAY AGENDA????

Both of which while he was running as the SEVERLY CONSERVATIVE Governor from Massachusetts!!

Palin said what she thought, Romney said what he was told to say by a consultant, Romney has no interest in, or knowledge of such things.

Romney left the GOP because of Ronald Reagan, he was not even a republican during the 1980s, and during the collapse of the Soviet Union, Mitt Romney moved firmly into the democrat camp, only helping and donating to democrat candidates, and even fund raising as a democrat, and voting for Paul Tsongas.

Romney did not switch back to the GOP until after Reagan and H.W, Bush were safely gone, and fellow draft dodger Clinton was in the White House, he re registered republican in October of 1993.

Would have been good in 2012. Kind of beside the point now.

Severely conservative?

Not.

Romney has been on every side of every issue at some point in his career.

“How I wish the Republicans would stop being scared to attack Obama and Hitlery’s failures on foreign policy...they’re clearly terrified because of demographics.”

Well, Carly Fiorina has been beating Hitlary like a base drum lately. I particularly liked her comment that a vagina wasn’t a requisite body part for ascending to the presidency. Actually, we should really be turning our attention to Hitlary, because, as yesterday’s vote in the House showed, Obama is a real lame duck. To devote much to him going forward, is to give him additional oxygen. We should be letting him stew in his own failings from here on out and let the courts hopefully disassemble the bad stuff he’s done or is trying to do. To force Obama into early irrelevance is a killer for his ego.

Whoa, it wasn’t Monica Crowley, she’s a conservative. It was Candy Crowley that fat pig on CNN. We should feel sorry for Monica because her sister recently married Alan Colmes. Just wonder what that talk about at family get togethers?
