House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in a meandering but dramatic floor speech on Friday said she will vote "no" on a measure providing assistance to workers displaced by trade.
Pelosi's opposition to the Trade Adjustment Assistance program casts doubt on whether the measure will pass.

Nancy, if that is true, I apologize wholeheartedly for calling you a witch. Life can be strange. I can’t think of any Republican I’ve ever voted for that I will ever vote for again.
But yesterday she was arguing with her BFF trying to convince her to vote for it...
She and I on the same side?
One would have to ask.. "are they about to run a fake reverse?"
And the stupid party....the GOP; will be left holding the bag when this thing passes by their hand.
There’s gotta be more to this than meets the eye.
BTW: I’ve been trying to get thru to DC switchboard all morning and have been put on hold for 20+ minutes each time.
Never saw this with previous attempts to get thru to Congress critters.
I imagine they operator lines are overwhelmed by call volume, and/or deliberate reduction of call handling capacity.

Yep, I think you nailed it, that was the plan all along. But I wonder if "stupid" is the right word here. In this particular case, "criminal' might be better.
Because I can think of no reason why anyone would vote for this thing, unless they were first promised bribes (in the form of campaign contributions, cushy jobs after they leave office, etc.).
I’d like to see how she would vote if there was a tie. Pelosi and the rest of the democrats want this to pass. They just don’t want to vote for it. And the republicans will bail them out. I can’t for the life of me understand why liberals hate republicans.
Opposes Obama on Trade?
Well, she is obviously a Bigot and a Hater.
Now I KNOW this is a trap.
The RATS are planning on running on this in ‘16 assuming the GOP falls for it.
This one issue could easily flip close votes in the Senate and House.

I’m following on the radio and I can’t TELL which bill was just voted on.
Roger Hedgecock (filling in for Rush) is declaring that the Trade Adjustment Assistance Bill (meant to help those displaced from jobs by the real Trade Bill) has failed, but the actualy Fast Track bill has PASSED.
In other words, if he is right, the congress will get only the up-or-down vote on Obama’s big dream trade pact...and they have never voted down one of these fast-track trade bills, ever.
