BUSTED:BUSTED: FRESHMAN GOP REP ADMITS SHE HASN’T READ OBAMATRADE, BACKS MSNBC’S DEFENSE OF DEAL SEC

Freshman GOP congresswoman Rep. Mimi Walters has been on television pushing Obamatrade—appearing Monday on Morning Joe on MSNBC to do so—but her office admits publicly she hasn’t read the bill she wants to fast-track through Congress. Walters, whom Mika Brzezinski noted is the official “liaison” between House GOP freshmen and Speaker Rep. John Boehner’s leadership team, appeared on Morning Joe to push Obamatrade. Walters said:

Currently, what we are working on is Trade Promotion Authority. That issue we expect to take up by the end of the month. And what Trade Promotion Authority, known as TPA, is it’s really the framework of giving the president the opportunity to negotiate trade agreements with other countries. It’s very, very important that we pass this piece of legislation. It’s bipartisan. One in five jobs in America are created because of free trade, 95 percent of consumers are outside of the United States and if America doesn’t take the lead on trade then China is going to. I want America to take the lead and set the standards on trade.

Whats with these people? They are making a habit of voting in things they didn’t write, and didn’t read.

This is the very definition of rule by decree. This is what a banana republic looks like.

Oh what’s it matter? She’ll just vote how the left-in-charge tell her to vote. They just give them bullet points and tell them to get out there and sell it!

Obamacare all over again? We have to.pass a bill to see what’s in it?

How about we make some new Congressional rules? Among them are that we don’t do 2000 page bills on any subject. And there needs to be some requirement that members have read and understand what in the Sam hill they are voting on. They should not be doing something and voting for it just because Nancy P. Or Harry Reid or McConnell or Boehner said vote s certain way. If you don’t even understand what’s in the bill and what its about you should vote no.,,or vote present, abstain, .

I would love to vote for a conservative candidate who would promise to read all bills, slow down debate to give time and read and understand bills, and exercise independent judgment, and not just do things because John Boehner said so.

Yes Cruz has read it in its entirety. See thread “Cruz on TPA,TPP and Immigration”. My understanding is lawmakers can be prosecuted if they talk about what is in it. Cruz is calling for it to be made public. He says it is basically what we have had in the past in similar bills that have expired, and that there is no reason for the secrecy.

He did go in the room to read it. Rubio, however, did not.

If any Congressman reveals details about the bill, Boehner will call Dean Vernon Wormer on them!

OK. Then no problem. Rumors of immigration reforms or UN law enforcement being contained in this are unfounded. Secrecy was just a normal thing. Once we read it we will understand it. I have no problem with anyone telling me that.

So? Did I say I was for Rubio? I just don't trust anybody to pass something that is not available to the public. It stinks of corruption.
